Michigan AFL-CIO just endorsed the trust-fund progressive who treats “working people” like props while obsessing over Gaza and corporate boogeymen. Ron Bieber’s “Abdul is as Michigan as cherry pie” bit is peak union-boss cosplay. Born here, played high school sports, card-carrying member—great résumé filler. Meanwhile the actual platform is Medicare for All fantasies, “public ownership” talk he pretends isn’t socialism, and endless lecturing about ending aid to Israel because “forever wars” are hiking your grocery bill. Funny how the only “forever war” that lights him up is the one involving the Jewish state. Rank-and-file auto workers, nurses, and tradesmen don’t need another Ivy-adjacent activist who discovered labor solidarity five minutes after discovering the camera.
