The State alleges that Kanyanga, a soldier, had taken out a life insurance policy on Nikanor. Prosecutors claim that while facing financial difficulties, Kanyanga allegedly killed Nikanor after becoming impatient that he was “taking long to die”, in order to claim the insurance payout. Opposing bail, prosecutor Naledi ||Hoeses told the court that the offence is serious and violent in nature. She alleged that Nikanor was unlawfully killed and that his body was later dumped in a water pan. The State further indicated that evidence points to mutilation of the body, demonstrating a high degree of violence and cruelty. ||Hoeses argued that granting bail at this stage would jeopardise ongoing investigations, including the recovery and forensic analysis of exhibits, outstanding post-mortem reports, and the tracing and questioning of key witnesses. Kanyanga was informed of his right to legal representation and indicated that he intends to apply for a government-funded lawyer. He was also advised of his right to bring a formal bail application, which the State said it would oppose. The court ordered that Kanyanga remain in custody at the Ondangwa police cells. UPDATE The man in the video has now come forward and provided the following video to explain what he brought into Mitch Sylvester's store. Information that I have received includes - He avoided calls from the RCMP for several weeks - He left the store with the item - He is claiming it was just a misunderstanding - The RCMP still has an open investigation - Charges could still be filed - There was one item, not two as previously reported If this was infact the item he brought into the store along with his "This is for Mitch" message, this is hands down the dumbest thing anyone can do to the employees of the store, and to Mitch directly. There still is an active investigation as showing staff a bullet, or a pen that looks like a bullet, uttering a threat, and not responding to the RCMP for weeks, is still grounds for criminal charges. Thank you to the dozens of people who did recognize the man, and provided tips.

I’ve been in football my entire life, but I’ve never seen anyone go from the 8th grade to the NFL” Jon Gruden (Jon Gruden) speaking on George Fant (George Fant) who didn’t play football in high school or college, but stepped out onto the field as a rookie on Monday night football as a starting offensive tackle for the Seahawks. This was one of my favorite projects in my 20+ years as a performance coach. At the time, he didn’t have an agent, he didn’t have the funds to pay for training, but he believed in himself and that was enough to get him a chance! George just finished up his 10th season in the NFL. I’d say he made a good decision passing up the opportunity to be a pro basketball player overseas! God’s glory.

As a kid, this would have meant the world to me 🧡 During PSG’s warm-up, a young fan was hit by a stray ball and ended up in tears. After finishing his warm-up, Achraf Hakimi went over, checked on him, and gave him his shirt. Safe to say his mood improved pretty quickly after that 😄 I loved this because it was such a simple, human gesture. It's easy to see moments like this as no big deal when you're the one on the pitch.
