Shroyer was arrested here for disrupting a House Judiciary Committee meeting. Upon his arrest, he was given a deferred prosecution agreement, meaning the charges would be dropped if he agreed to certain conditions. Those conditions included agreeing not to "utter loud, threatening, or abusive language or engage in any disorderly or disruptive conduct at any place upon the US Capitol grounds or within any of the Capitol Buildings with an intent to impede, disrupt or disturb the orderly conduct of any session of Congress." On January 6, with the deferred prosecution agreement still in effect, he entered the area of the protests/riots in a restricted area on Capitol Grounds, from which he called into Infowars and said, "We literally own these streets right now.” He made an agreement as part of his DPA and he appears to have broken it. He was held accountable as he should have been.

So the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was content with the testimony of this man, whom he did not know, on the basis that he bore witness that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, i.e. he knew that he was a Muslim, but he did not check on him any further and he did not try to find out how intelligent and smart he was, as was the case in the first Hadith in which the witness was 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar ibn al Khattab رضي الله عنه. Yet despite that he accepted his testimony. This Hadith makes things easier for people, and what this means is that the judge should be content with the witness as he appears to be, without needing to find people who know this man and can testify that he is of good character, as was the habit of judges since time immemorial. Rather it is sufficient to know that he is a Muslim. This man was a Bedouin of whom the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم had no prior knowledge and he was content that he uttered the Shahaadatayn before him. So he was a Muslim with the same rights and duties as any other, and based on his testimony and the fact that he was a Muslim he said: O Bilaal, announced to the people that they should fast tomorrow. [At Ta laaq 'ala Kitaab Bulugh al Maraam, (audio tape), Hadith 5, Kitaab al Siyaam] This Hadith is evidence for the principle that a Muslim is to be regarded as being of good character unless proven otherwise. So the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was content with the testimony of this man, whom he did not know, on the basis that he bore witness that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, i.e. he knew that he was a Muslim, but he did not check on him any further and he did not try to find out how intelligent and smart he was, as was the case in the first Hadith in which the witness was 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar ibn al Khattab رضي الله عنه. Yet despite that he accepted his testimony. This Hadith makes things easier for people, and what this means is that the judge should be content with the witness as he appears to be, without needing to find people who know this man and can testify that he is of good character, as was the habit of judges since time immemorial. Rather it is sufficient to know that he is a Muslim. This man was a Bedouin of whom the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم had no prior knowledge and he was content that he uttered the Shahaadatayn before him. So he was a Muslim with the same rights and duties as any other, and based on his testimony and the fact that he was a Muslim he said: O Bilaal, announced to the people that they should fast tomorrow. [At Ta laaq 'ala Kitaab Bulugh al Maraam, (audio tape), Hadith 5, Kitaab al Siyaam] This Hadith is evidence for the principle that a Muslim is to be regarded as being of good character unless proven otherwise. Comrade Phils has released a video he says shows members of a police squad allegedly extorting a motorist in Old GRA, Port Harcourt, just hours after he raised concerns about what he described as an extortion network operating in the area. In the video, he identified the deputy team lead of the squad, Officer Okere, as allegedly collecting money from a motorist before releasing the documents of a seized vehicle. According to him, the motorist had all valid and up-to-date vehicle papers but was still detained for hours and pressured to pay before being allowed to leave. He further alleged that the officers operate a “modi operandi” where cash payments are demanded instead of transfers, with negotiations reportedly handled by the team lead, ASP Geoffrey, who then directs payments to Officer Okere.
