This was his triple to get the cycle-1st for the Reds since ED in ‘89. So cool to see the energy in what has been an awful home field for YEARS-city is falling in love with this young team and it’s incredible to see. Good morning and where do I start? I’m so proud of the man you’re becoming and I’m so thankful to have you in my life. The first player I met and the first player I had dinner with after I became the receivers coach at Baylor. Yes I’m speaking it into existence but it’s also the feeling I have when I tell you God truly has a calling on your life. The person you are lets me know the lord is and will continue to bless you more than you can imagine. I love you like a son, little brother, nephew, etc…. Played receiver for a big time program like Baylor, played in the NFL, from the great state of Texas but more importantly a GREAT person and man of God. So you have all the tools you need to be successful in this coaching profession but more importantly LIFE! I’m so thankful to be a part of your journey. I’m going to do EVERYTHING in my power with the help of God to make sure you succeed. I told you this and I truly believe it. You’re the next great coach/receivers coach. That’s very important to these coaches. I’ve talked to a lot of current NFL players and they say “Learn that kick-step on punt man. If you make the punt team, you’ll make the team.’”

After leading 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 to the '𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧' the prior season, Richard Williams and company followed that up by winning the SEC Tournament in 1996, followed by their historic run to the '𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫' in the '96 NCAA Tournament. It's the only time in Mississippi history a basketball team has made it that deep in the postseason. He was the head coach at 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 for 12 seasons. Now, we have the pleasure of getting to listen to Coach Williams on the radio call of 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 basketball with Neil Price. Thirty years may seem like a long time ago, but for those of us who experienced it in 1996 the memories are still fresh and clear.

This Dividion 3 baseball player was given a tounge lashing by his coach for not hustling out of the batter’s box and admiring his homerun. The coach yells at him to hustle because he doesn’t know if it’s going to be a home run and he needs to hustle. He tells him if he ever does that again, it will be his last at bat there. Some are saying the coach is being ridiculous, let the player have fun. Others are saying the coach was right on the money and that’s what is wrong with players today- too much showboating. What do you think? Do you think the coach overacted or do you think he was correct?
