BREAKING: Just one week before Alex Pretti was shot and killed by a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis, he was physically injured in a previous encounter with federal immigration agents. Pretti intervened while ICE agents were pursuing a family, shouting and blowing a whistle to draw attention, and was tackled by 5 agents, suffering a broken rib. Pretti later said he feared for his life during that earlier confrontation. Importantly, he was not charged with any crime in that earlier incident, and he had no criminal history, according to local authorities.
