This is a video of Sweida, Syria, during Christmas last year. Sweida is basically the only region in Syria where non-Muslims have some sort of autonomy. Around half a million people live there, over 90% are Druze and nearly 10% are Christians, with not many Muslims. Despite being overwhelmingly Druze, it’s the only truly safe region in Syria for Christians. The Druze celebrate Christmas, Easter, and even attend church alongside their Christian neighbors. And this is precisely why the Druze are now under attack in Syria. In just the last two days, over 600 Druze have been killed by the Islamist government.
