It’s time that this was done, I fully support capitalism, but during wartime and national emergencies it’s imperative that the United States takes care of itself first. How many of these companies are pulling oil off of national leases, this is an American resource and should be utilized for America first. During World War II and World War I scrap metals and everything was turned to support the war effort. This is how it should be here in America, our resources are benefit.

It's not unpatriotic to point out the American booze ban is going to backfire now that the Trump Administration is going to ban Canadian booze. Alcohol is a product we export more to them than they export back to us. In fact it's the fools like Laura Babcock and Charlie Angus who see themselves as punk rebels standing up to Trump by supporting the booze ban that are anti-patriotic. But market experts warn that restricting exports could leave Gulf Coast refiners with excess supply, weaken incentives to maintain production and eventually undermine the very price relief the policy is supposed to create. And this wouldn’t happen in a normal energy market. Middle Eastern energy shipments are already being disrupted by the U.S.-Iran conflict, while Ukrainian strikes have taken Russian diesel-producing refinery capacity offline; two pressures experts say are far more important to global diesel prices than Washington’s export policy alone. An American ban could then shift the shortage rather than eliminate it. Countries accustomed to buying U.S. diesel would have to compete for barrels elsewhere, potentially bidding up international prices as an already strained market searches for replacement supply. Canada offers a good example of the ripple effect, it imports roughly 700 million liters of U.S. diesel, and while experts cited by CBC News don’t expect an outright Canadian supply crisis, replacing those barrels on the global market could mean paying more for them. An American ban could then shift the shortage rather than eliminate it. Countries accustomed to buying U.S. diesel would have to compete for barrels elsewhere, potentially bidding up international prices as an already strained market searches for replacement supply. Canada offers a good example of the ripple effect, it imports roughly 700 million liters of U.S. diesel, and while experts cited by CBC News don’t expect an outright Canadian supply crisis, replacing those barrels on the global market could mean paying more for them. Then there’s the political calculation: inflation and affordability are major issues heading into the U.S. midterms, giving the White House a powerful incentive to show voters it is acting on fuel costs. Russia has unfortunately lost control of its Diesel Oil Industry due to its War with Ukraine. A large number of their Diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of commission. This ridiculous and never ending War with Ukraine must be ended.
