Mukono North MP-elect Abdallah Kiwanuka has stormed Mukono District tally centre after learning that a group of NRM Party youths were allegedly tampering with ballot boxes. Despite a power blackout in the area, Mr Kiwanuka has vowed to sleep at the tally centre. The suspects are said to have fled when police arrived. Mr Kiwanuka is concerned about tampering and a possible recount plot by his NRM Party rival, Ronald Kibuule's camp. My Michigan friends and I have been basically obsessed with Shri Thanedar ever since he ran for governor in the 2018 Democratic primary against Gretchen Whitmer and Abdul El-Sayed (lmao), because he is just about the most curious political character you could possibly conjure up. As a state legislator, he even recorded this really sweet and earnest video wishing two of my friends “a wonderful life” ahead of their wedding after we reached out to his office. I realize he may not be the most consequential member of the U.S. House of Representatives, but there are many who are far worse. You can never make me hate this man. We'll miss you, Shri. Please keep poasting! Have a wonderful life, and see you around.
