If they quit now, they'll never again get the chance to put the government on the back foot and make demands. The ports will have exclusion zones controlled by the military, and tractors will be stopped before making it into the inner city. This is the one and only chance to fix Ireland. It should continue and be backed up with a general strike next week.

Yes I agree, the entire country is on their side and willing to go without oil because we support the protest. Everyone I talk to is joking about making sacrifices because the country is shut down, but nobody is angry. This is a rare opportunity for real change, not just small concessions.

Many of us said that only a world war, and the chaos it brings domestically, could ever galvanise the Irish people behind a Nationalist movement. This is that moment. It must not be wasted.

As he said...Nothing left to lose

You have removed the boot enough from your neck to breathe slightly. Don't give them an inch. IRELAND FOR THE IRISH. Very simple. Good luck from the United States.

@VC2243 Shut it down! They are laughing at our kids and future grandchildren’s expense

There's no reversing out of this one

Prepare now, get cash out of the banks

Get the government out. If they are left in government they will just do it to someone else and theyll bankrupt the farmers another way They have to go now

For the refusal to afford them a meeting, this should be escalated to a demand for resignations.

Ben Scallan nails exactly the inconsistency In 2024, then-Transport Minister Eamon Ryan hosted a formal meeting in his Leinster House office with Extinction Rebellion activists specifically to discuss Ireland's LNG policy and his own "legacy" on climate issues. XR had been doing road blockades, sit-ins at government buildings, and other disruptive actions (including the art-related stuff globally and some in Ireland). They got dialogue and access. Contrast that with the current fuel protests: the Government (Martin, Harris, O'Callaghan) explicitly refuses direct meetings with the on-site groups, insists on going only through "national representative bodies," calls it "national sabotage," and moves straight to Garda enforcement + Defence Forces heavy recovery for critical infrastructure like Whitegate.

Beware, they will try to arrest all the leaders. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸❤️

Our Canadian Overlord talks "graduated response". Where have we heard that recently? Are they planning to destroy infrastructure next week? Why not? They already destroyed our civilisation.

@TheLastRefuge2 Be very cautious on surveillance and evidence gathering by the shite government of Ireland. They will come for any one who skirts the notion of incitement or counselling to an offence. These are not honourable politicians but dangerous authoritarians.

@spitnfacts Good on him

The government are afraid that if this goes on too long it will be the end of them Keep up the good work 💪🇮🇪

'it's absolutely alarming' -- I'm not sure any of those ppl in there are actually calling the shots

No surprise there. Hold firm lads and we could witness the equivalent of the fall of the Berlin Wall in our lifetime

Yes, they will try to appease you while they plan your demise. Be smart. They are not on your side. While you have the manpower out and in force, arrest them all for treason and crimes against the people and nation.

Time for a no confidence vote for this poor excuse of a government.

"From Canada, watching Ireland's farmers, truckers & builders shut it down over insane fuel taxes & costs. Chris Duffy calling out the government's 'nothing has changed' meeting as a waste—real talk. Keep holding the line! Ordinary people fighting back against policies crushing livelihoods. Solidarity from the True North. 🚜🇮🇪🇨🇦 #IrelandProtests #FuelCrisis"

If we all did the same we the people could stop these corrupt tyrant bastard. Thank you Ireland 🇮🇪for having the balls to stand up. We are watching 🇬🇧🇮🇪🏴

This lady from Canada 🇨🇦 has some great points to be heard for the Irish protesters. Check out her page.

" We have nothing left to lose " that says it all folks

Blockade the airports and all seaports to prevent them from leaving.

0ccupied politicians have to wait for what their handlers tell them to do.

The government don't want to drop taxes, trying to get a deal done with the representatives and for them to turn on the protesters, they'll get looked after and everyone else still pays the extortionate taxes

This is so great. What a fucking based dude.

These Need to Start a political party lads - Farmers4Eire. Get some independents to join, yee would walk through the next election. FF N FG wouldn't have enough fake ballots to even come close 🙌🚜🚜🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

It's time to demand a referendum on Irexit.

The regime is a dictatorship that ONLY answers to the UN & EU. Protesters will be beaten & pepper sprayed like they do to force plantations of foreign rapists into villages. The fraudulent carbon tax extortion racket is SDGs tyranny. Occupy Leinster House gates #fuelprotests 🇮🇪☘️

@gokickrocks50

General election needs to be called, they’re all lining their pockets. Simon Harris and Michael Martin the two most incompetent people you’d want to “lead” a country

What happened to Ireland 🇮🇪 for the Irish? Sold out utterly! 🤬 Despite our differences - these are our island s 🇮🇪🏴🏴🏴

So this is the poster boy of the revolution...and ye want us to believe this fuckbag cares about the ordinary people of Ireland!📷📷 fuck off, ye shower of utter shysters...📷📷
