We took the puppy to the vet this morning, and she will be there for a couple of days before we can go pick her up. The vet needs to wait to know how bad the infection is before deciding if the eye needs to be removed or not. She’s unfortunately going to be blind in this eye either way though. 😔 She will be going to a very good shelter though, and she will have 2 of her brothers with her!

Colorado AG Phil Weiser: Harmeet Dhillon needs a refresher course on constitutional law. If you listened to what she said there, you would think it’s well established that a law like Colorado’s law banning large-capacity magazines is blatantly unconstitutional. She could not be further from the truth. She mentioned the Heller case. Justice Scalia says reasonable restrictions on gun ownership are appropriate. And let’s just be clear: no reasonable person needs an AR-15 for hunting, self-defense, or any other legitimate purpose. These are weapons of war. I don’t understand her legal argument at all because the Colorado Supreme Court already reviewed our law and clearly upheld it. There is no law saying what she says. I get that she’d like to change the law, but listen, if you’re a lawyer, let’s be straight with the public. She’s trying to change the law. She’s trying to move the law in the same direction as the NRA. She’s not doing her job, which is to protect our civil rights.
