🇺🇸 Sam Altman suggested the only acceptable level of risk of a "Terminator scenario" emerging from AI is ZERO: "It doesn’t matter whether people put the risk of catastrophe at 10% or 1% or 12% or 0.1%. None of these levels are remotely acceptable.... We should NOT train models that we cannot make an extremely strong case that we will be able to keep under HUMAN control." The example here is a video of me saying some truly deplorable stuff (that I never in fact recorded myself) This is a huge problem for all the current top AI companies that as far as I can tell is not being addressed in any capacity by anyone. Do we have ANY suggestions for how to mitigate this, or are we just going to continue along until it bites us in the ass? Serious question.
