@SenJohnKennedy Don’t you realize your democratic colleagues hate our Country and our citizens almost as much as they hate President Trump? Your Resolution needs to be introduced and reintroduced until it gets passed in the Senate. It needs to be put on state ballots for a vote?

sounds fair... if you all as leaders feel it's justified that people don't get paid for you to make a point.. get a vote trough or whatever.. you are not a leader if you yourself are not ready to face the same consequences.. no pay for the same duration imo. And plz remenber that this is "normal" hardworking people.. it's more than likely that some can't make the mortgage, rent or loan payment and your "powerplay" are the direct reason that the bank now move in and claim all they own and they find themselves on the street with nothing but a hungry and cold family.. and a towering debt hanging over them like a damocles sword.. how is that in any way moral ? .. just asking cuz i could not find any ethics and morals in it.

AOC: The problem is that the Trump administration, folks like Russ Vought, they think that destroying our health care, making sure that housing is too expensive to live in, that jacking up the cost of our groceries—they think all of this is about hurting Democrats. What they are doing is hurting Americans, and they are hurting this country. And if Mike Johnson wants to say that this shutdown is going to last a long time, it is because he is choosing to punish the American people.

The U.S. Constitution requires Members of Congress to be paid, even during government shutdowns. If Members of Congress had to forfeit their pay during government shutdowns, there would be fewer shutdowns or they would end quicker. That’s why I’ve introduced a constitutional amendment that, if ratified, would bar Members of Congress from receiving a paycheck for the duration of a shutdown. It’s time Congress plays by the same rules as everyone else & we get back to work on behalf of the American people.

How is it that Democrats looked at files at the Treasury Department a year ago under the Biden Administration that showed a massive amount of wire transfers going into Epstein’s bank account, yet none of those Democrats chose to investigate those transfers? How is that possible? And … how is it that only now is it important for them to know about these transfers. You’d think they would have been concerned that maybe Trump had given Epstein money, yet they didn’t investigate when they had the chance. Odd right? There are 10 Republican co-sponsors of that bill.. we have the votes tonight to pass it. But what happened is in the rules committee they don't want to have this vote tonight because they know they are going to lose. What's even sillier is they have this nonbinding resolution. I thought, surely we would vote on a nonbinding resolution. They don't even want to vote on the nonbinding resolution in case Donald Trump gets slightly offended
