DEI is required for them to keep their position as parasites off the organization started by people far more capable than themselves. I know conservatives of color that are equally faced with challenges. Some are in government positions that are unfortunate enough to be conservative. DEI isn't a quest for fairness - in fact, nothing is scarier to these folks than hiring someone off their color and gender chart that desires fair merit hiring. If a highly competent and accomplished black dude said during the interview that he had some esteemed colleagues that could really help the organization they would never hire that man after finding out those colleagues were straight white Christians. They also would not hire him if he said a single positive thing about Republicans or negative about Democrats. This is their world and they believe they deserve it.

@SMU The University of Michigan is also hiding DEI under new names like Access and Opportunity. DEI staff were moved around, continue to be highly paid and are still recruiting students based on race, gender and DEI criteria.
