Starlink just launched its first European satellite-to-phone service. Today. Virgin Media O2 switched on O2 Satellite on February 26. It is the first commercial satellite-to-smartphone data service in the UK and in all of Europe. Powered by Starlink Direct to Cell. What it does: If you're an O2 customer with a Samsung Galaxy S25, your phone automatically connects to Starlink satellites when you move beyond traditional cell coverage. No special hardware. No satellite phone. Your regular smartphone connects directly to space. O2's UK landmass coverage jumped overnight from 89% to 95%. That's new connectivity across an area roughly two-thirds the size of Wales, according to Virgin Media O2. At launch, the service supports text messaging and a limited set of apps including WhatsApp, Google Maps, Facebook Messenger, and X. Standard voice calls are not yet supported. Speeds are estimated around 4Mbps. More devices and apps are expected to follow. 650+ Starlink satellites now support Direct to Cell. SpaceX has signed 11 carrier partnerships to date, with similar services already live in the U.S. through T-Mobile. £3 per month. Same in the UK, there's money for the homeless but when I go round helping them they tell me there's no support given by these charities. This is the flat I've just renovated to use as emergency shelter for the homeless, it has a crash bed, games lounge, a food kitchen to feed the homeless from and access to rehabilitation if they wish, walk in shower, a place they can come for rest get clean and fresh and warm get fed and feel safe, I have an Amazon wishlist for emergency supplies for the guys all this has been built through support on here, thank you for that 💙

Sometimes in life, you come to realise that you are part of something much bigger than yourself—a family bound not only by blood, but by genuine love, loyalty, and brotherhood. As I continue to recover well following a major and life-threatening surgical procedure, my heart is filled with gratitude. Fellow Zimbabweans, allow me to sincerely thank two remarkable brothers who made sure that I received the best possible medical attention and care when I needed it most: Dr. Kudakwashe Tagwirei and Hon. Kudakwashe Mnangagwa. Without hesitation, they stepped in and ensured that I had access to specialist healthcare and the support required for a successful procedure. Their concern for my wellbeing was genuine, and their actions reminded me that true brotherhood is demonstrated through deeds, not words. I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to the team of Zimbabwean specialist doctors and medical professionals who carried out such a complex procedure with exceptional skill and professionalism. By the grace of Almighty God and through their expertise, the operation was successful, and I am now on the road to recovery. Special recognition also goes to my brother and dear friend, Mhofu Padare Padare-Enkundleni, who has stood by me every step of the way. From driving me to specialist consultations, hospital visits, reviews, and follow-up treatments, he has been a pillar of strength and unwavering support. Such loyalty and selflessness can never be taken for granted. This experience has taught me that wealth is not measured by money alone, but by the people who stand beside you during your darkest moments. I simply want to remind people that I serve in the Marines of the 37th Brigade in Ukraine. I enlisted for freedom, for honor, and for love. It has been my dream since I was six years old. Today, many men are fighting on the front line. Some are Ukrainians, others are volunteers from different countries. Coming here to fight is not about ego. It is not about recognition, medals, diplomas, or thanks. True commitment means being able to stay in the shadows, in the middle of hell and in the worst moments. It means being ready to sacrifice your life for something greater than yourself. I have almost died so many times that I have stopped counting. But I am never alone. By my side are my brothers in arms. Today we work more than twenty hours a day. We repair drones, we fly them, we hold our positions, and we simply protect the sky to save lives. That is what matters most. That is the greatest honor. Here, nobody measures who has the best status, the best diplomas, or the most medals. All of that is just material things. I simply want to remind people that I serve in the Marines of the 37th Brigade in Ukraine. I enlisted for freedom, for honor, and for love. It has been my dream since I was six years old. Today, many men are fighting on the front line. Some are Ukrainians, others are volunteers from different countries. Coming here to fight is not about ego. It is not about recognition, medals, diplomas, or thanks. True commitment means being able to stay in the shadows, in the middle of hell and in the worst moments. It means being ready to sacrifice your life for something greater than yourself. I have almost died so many times that I have stopped counting. But I am never alone. By my side are my brothers in arms. Today we work more than twenty hours a day. We repair drones, we fly them, we hold our positions, and we simply protect the sky to save lives. I just need to say it… Some of you have LOST YOUR FRIGGIN MINDS over Hurricane Milton We Do live in Sarasota County where it’s making landfall right now but do NOT live on the coast (15 miles+ inland) People have been telling us all day that we deserve to die for not leaving and to write our daughters SSN on their arms to be identified. The video to the left is the worst it has gotten. Now I want to be VERY VERY clear. If you live on the beach, are in a mobile home, or a major flood zone… Evacuation is a NECESSITY. I hope those people all got out and are safe. But I’m not joking. I’ve had family and friends telling me that ALL Florida is going to be wiped out by Milton. And to kiss my daughters goodbye tonight because we stayed. Now I mostly blame the over sensationalist media for hyping everyone up making it sound like this was going to make landfall as the most catastrophic storm in history. It literally made landfall as a Cat 3 120mph winds. Thats far from the largest. People saw that it was a Cat 5 with 200 mph winds when it was in the middle of the ocean and thought it would land at that. TikTok and random “weather people” didn’t make this any better. It’s like the whole country was watching us like NASCAR… hoping to see that fatal crash. It’s messed up.

30. If I’m being honest, reaching 30 feels a little surreal. For the longest time, I felt like I wasn’t achieving enough. While everyone seemed to be hitting milestones, I often found myself wondering if I was falling behind or if I was doing enough with my life. The past years haven’t always been easy. There were days when simply getting through the day felt like an accomplishment. Days when my mind was my biggest challenge. Days when I questioned my worth, my progress, and where I was headed. But turning 30 has made me realize something: maybe not all achievements come with certificates, promotions, titles, or trophies. Sometimes, an achievement is choosing to keep going. Sometimes, it’s surviving the days you thought would break you. Sometimes, it’s finding reasons to smile again. Oddly enough, some of those reasons came from places I never expected. Recently, #CarTon and #WinRi became little sources of comfort during my low days. It’s funny because I never imagined that following their stories and moments online would have that kind of impact on me, but somehow they helped brighten days that felt particularly heavy. Of course, I wouldn’t have made it this far without the people who continue to stand beside me. To my husband, my family, my friends, and everyone who has supported me through the highs and lows—thank you. Thank you for your patience, understanding, encouragement, and for loving me even during the times when I struggled to love myself. As I enter this new decade, I’m trying to be kinder to myself. When we established a no-encampment zone in this corner of San Jose, neighbors couldn’t understand why the city was able to keep the entire neighborhood clear — except for the most dangerous spot: along the railway. For months, hundreds of residents living in a mobile home park just beyond the fence still dealt with the impacts of unsheltered homelessness. Dogs barked at all hours, kids were jeered at and forced to stay indoors, and blight spread through the area. This community navigated layers of bureaucracy, worked through complicated jurisdictional boundaries, and demanded better. This week, my office partnered with Union Pacific to deliver it. It shouldn’t be this hard (or take this long!) to fix something like this. We need to take a hard look at the ways our systems put up unnecessary and frustrating barriers to action, and dismantle them. Because the bottom line is: people don’t care whose land it is. They want results — and we need to deliver them, faster. These new boulders will help keep the railway clear — for the safety of people still living unsheltered, and for the quality of life of the surrounding neighborhood.
