Starlink just launched its first European satellite-to-phone service. Today. Virgin Media O2 switched on O2 Satellite on February 26. It is the first commercial satellite-to-smartphone data service in the UK and in all of Europe. Powered by Starlink Direct to Cell. What it does: If you're an O2 customer with a Samsung Galaxy S25, your phone automatically connects to Starlink satellites when you move beyond traditional cell coverage. No special hardware.
