The #NancyGuthrie “Kidnapper” video is out: 2 Thoughts/Questions. 1: This is not an experienced kidnapper, he was not remotely prepared to come across a camera doorbell that is not sophistication that is not even preparation. He literally turns around and grabbed some of the flowers from Nancy’s flower bed to cover the camera after he notices that He’s being filmed. Not someone who knows the scene or the property. Or in any way prepared for a possible variable, like someone having a camera door doorbell. Which is not really a variable it’s more common sense. 2: Why did it take 10 days to release this to the public? I do not buy for one second that it took 10 days to get this data - someone completely dropped the ball, or SOMETHING ELSE is dramatically at play here. Your thoughts??

You are looking now at the incredible response there on the shores of the Potomac River...This is really staggering that this has happened and there have been close call after close call involving commercial flights on the runways of commercial airports, major airports in the U.S., an incident, a spate of incidents that really took off in 2023. None of them ended up ending up occurring with a mid-air collision like we have seen here. The fact that this involved not only a commercial flight, which is equipped from top to bottom with anti-collision technology, something called TCAS -- Traffic Collision Avoidance System, mandated by the FAA in most commercial airliners since the early 90s, but also the pilots are well trained. The aviation system -- commercial aviation in the U.S. is the gold standard for safety. We are the example for every other country. And I think science always starts with a number two. It starts with experiments you can repeat, things you can do over and over again. But there's sort of a sense in which every moment in the history of business, every moment in the history of technology happens only once. The next Mark Zuckerberg will not be starting a social networking company. The next Larry Page will not start a search engine. The next Bill Gates will not be starting an operating system. And so if you are trying to copy these people, you're in some sense not learning from them. And so I think one of the really big challenges in teaching or writing about entrepreneurship is what can you say about being an entrepreneur at all when the key thing is always to do something new, different, that's not precisely been done before. And so the point of departure I start with in Zero to One is a somewhat indirect approach by asking a series of contrarian questions. The business question is, what great company is nobody starting? The more intellectual version of this question is, tell me something true that very few people agree with you on. And this is a fantastic interview question. It turns out to be quite a hard question, even when people can read on the internet that you ask of everybody who comes in the door, it still is a hard question. It's one of those unusual questions where if you know it's on the test, it's still hard. And it's hard not just because we sort of think that new things require brilliance or something like that, but because it's socially difficult. If I ask you that question, if you tell me something like the education system is screwed up or our political system doesn't work very well, those are true answers, but they're not actually good answers because all of us already know them to be true. The good answers are ones that are somehow uncomfortable that the person interviewing you does not actually want to hear. And I think we live in this world where courage is in far shorter supply than genius. And so it is sort of this, it is in a sense this problem of political correctness properly understood, is this very deep, very, very broad sort of a problem."

The driver may have been completely wrong, but that does not give a Road Safety Officer the excuse to recklessly endanger the lives of everyone else on the road, including himself. Law enforcement is not supposed to become a greater danger than the offence being punished. If the very people responsible for road safety are creating situations that could cause serious crashes or deaths, then that is not enforcement. It is gross irresponsibility and a failure of professionalism. There must be accountability. Officers should not be allowed to hide behind the authority of their uniforms when their conduct puts lives at risk. Every reckless enforcement action should be investigated, and where an officer is found to have acted improperly, there should be consequences. Road safety must mean safety for everyone.

🚨 OUTRAGE: The man charged in the death of Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael Pahira Jr. is now reportedly a Haitian national who was in the country illegally and still managed to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License from Massachusetts. Let that sink in. A state trooper is dead, a family is destroyed, and now Americans are being asked to believe this is just some random accident with no bigger policy failure behind it. No. If someone is not legally supposed to be in the country, they should not be operating massive commercial trucks on American highways, period. Massachusetts needs to answer for how this license was issued, the CDL rolls need a serious federal audit, and every loophole that allows illegal immigrants to drive heavy commercial vehicles must be shut down immediately. This is not about politics anymore. This is about public safety, accountability, and protecting American lives before another officer, driver, or family pays the price.
