Meet WebBrain: An Open-Source, Local-First AI Browser Agent That Reads Pages and Automates Tasks in Chrome and Firefox WebBrain lives inside your browser and can run entirely on your own local model — no cloud, no account, no data leaving your machine. Most "AI browser agents" are a chat box that pastes your page into someone else's server. That's not an agent that lives where you browse — and WebBrain draws a very clear line between the two. It's an open-source (MIT), local-first browser agent for Chrome and Firefox. It runs inside your existing authenticated session, on a model you pick — so with llama.cpp or Ollama, nothing leaves your machine. Here's what's actually interesting: → Two modes, cleanly separated. Ask reads the page (read-only, content scripts). Act clicks and types through the Chrome DevTools Protocol (chrome.debugger) — trusted input events that modern sites honor, reaching cross-origin iframes and shadow DOM. → UI-first by design. For anything that submits, sends, or buys, it drives the visible UI and refuses to hit REST/GraphQL endpoints directly. It starts read-only and asks before consequential actions. → Bring any model. llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM — or OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter. Recommended local: Qwen 3.6 35B (Qwen3.6-35B-A3B), which beat Gemma 4 on the project's screenshot benchmark. → Tuned for cost and privacy. Token-conscious screenshots, oldest-first context trimming, a dedicated vision model, 40+ tools (~20 in Compact mode). No telemetry. No accounts. Introducing the Clips chrome extension - the easiest way to send bug reports to agents with video, transcript, and browser debug info captured automatically. 100% free and open source. If you are like me and get tired of manually typing instructions to agents, attaching screenshots, pasting debug logs, and all of that, this might be your new favorite tool. With the Clips chrome extension, you can just click the Clips icon, hit record, and start talking. Visually demonstrate your issue, go through the flow, point out what’s broken. Clips will capture everything on your screen, plus network requests, browser logs, client errors, and all the details around them. And it redacts sensitive information. Then it gives you a link you can send to humans so they can play it and take a look. Or, more importantly, just give it to your agents by just pasting the URL to them. The link has special metadata for agents so just from the URL, the agent can pull all information from the clip automatically. No plugin or MCP server required. That means it can "see and hear" what’s in the video - read the transcript, grab snapshots at any timestamp, and inspect the logs and network requests that were shared with it. So whether you want to quickly demo an issue and send all that context to an agent, or get better bug reports from teammates, recording and sending Clips makes that super easy. Unlike expensive apps like Loom, this is all 100% free and open source. The framework that powers this, plus a bunch of other free applications, is open source too. You can just sign up and use it, or fork it and customize it to your needs. This, in my opinion, is the future of software. Rather than bloated SaaS that charges you a ton of money and still doesn’t even have the things you need, we get free open source canonical apps that you can fork and customize in any way you want. I'll link to all this stuff in the replies. If you try it, let me know your feedback.

no money for grok or midjourney? this tool is for you. there's a FREE tool created by an anon dev. open-source. runs locally. 117k stars on github. it generates: > images & video > 3d models > audio > 20+ models here's how to set it up in under 5 minutes: 1️⃣download ComfyUI Desktop go to and grab the desktop app for your system. windows 10+, mac (apple silicon), or linux. it installs like any normal app, it sets up python and every dependency for you in the background. no terminal, no config files. 2️⃣open it first launch, it spins up its own environment automatically. you just wait a few seconds and you're in. you'll land on a node canvas, that's the whole interface. 3️⃣load a starter workflow top menu → Workflow → Browse Templates → Image Generation. click it. this drops a ready-made setup onto your canvas so you don't build anything from scratch. 4️⃣grab a model comfyui ships empty on purpose, the model is the brain, and you pick it. in the template, the "Load Checkpoint" node has a Download button when no model is installed. click it. it pulls one in for you (a few GB, this is the only real wait). 5️⃣install ComfyUI Manager this is the one add-on you don't skip. it lets you install models, custom nodes, and updates with a click instead of the command line. grab it from github (link in comments). it's the difference between fighting comfyui and flying in it. one honest note: an NVIDIA gpu makes this fast, apple silicon works great too, and a weak machine still runs it just slower. that's the whole setup. you now own an image, video, and 3D studio that costs you nothing per month. save this. and the next time grok or midjourney asks for your card. you won't need it. disclaimer: comfyui itself is 100% free. so are the local models (sdxl, flux, wan 2.2, ltx-2). some premium models like seedance are pay-per-use api models, only if you want top-tier quality. the free local ones cover most of what you need. (github link in the comments) follow and turn on post notification for daily AI contents.

SOMEONE BUILT WORDLE BUT FOR MINI GOLF AND IT IS QUIETLY BECOMING MY FAVORITE MORNING RITUAL it's called you open the tab and there is one mini golf hole. that's the whole game. one new hole every midnight pacific. same hole for everyone in the world. your first finish counts. you click the ball, drag back like a slingshot, let go. the further you pull, the harder you hit. today's hole is called "Up and around." it's an S-shaped tropical island floating in dark teal water, with cross-barriers and one little wooden ramp that i ricocheted off three times in a row. par 6. at the top of the screen, a live ticker scrolls past in real time: > someone holed 6/6 · par > someone holed 5/6 · birdie > someone holed 11/6 · +5 real strangers are putting on the same hole as you. you can see the ghost rings of where their balls travelled, in cyan and purple and pink. when you finish, you get a wordle-style share card. emoji result. takes one tap to drop into a group chat. PC Gamer just wrote a whole love letter to it. the writer admits they scored a 20 on a par 12. they were thrilled. the developer goes by the 3D models are from Kenney, a guy who has been releasing free CC0 game assets for over a decade. no signup. no account. no tracking. your streak lives in your browser. if you clear your cookies, the streak dies with them. the about page says it in one sentence: "Same hole for everyone, new one at midnight Pacific, and your first finish is your score. That's the whole game." we are 35 days into the project and the calendar archive lets you play every single previous hole. i don't know why this is so satisfying. i just know i was supposed to be writing this post and i kept reopening the tab. the internet is healing.

“What did you think of Lando being booed at race because people and I've seen it online as well say he doesn't deserve the title because McLaren favored him over his teammate. Do you think that's total nonsense?” Jacques Villeneuve: “That's a little bit ridiculous. When there was some booing in some races, that was embarrassing. You should never boo a driver that's clean, doesn't do anything dirty, on track is respectful, and on top of it is super fast. What's wrong with people? That was embarrassing. And, had it been that Piastri was a second a lap faster than him and somehow Lando was winning because a lot of things were happening, his car breaking down every time, then you could start thinking, okay, that's really not cool. That's not fair. But that wasn't the case. And in the second half, Norris has been faster right at the beginning as well, last year as well. So there's this whole middle of the season where Piastri was driving a lot better than Norris and was getting the points. Norris had an engine blowing up, not Piastri. And so those fans, they don't look at that either. You have to look at the whole picture, at the whole season. And suddenly if your favorite is starting to go backwards, you just got to bite the bullet and accept it. Your favorite is just going backwards. That doesn't mean that the other one is treated better or the other one is undeserving just because the one you're a fan of is not winning right now. That’s really wrong. If you're a fan of the sport, then you have to be a fan of the sport and understand when your driver is maybe not cutting it at this point in time, even though he was before and he will in the future again. It's all a question of timing. But that's the price we have to pay now with social media and how big F1 has become. It's very passionate. The people are passionate and once, you know, fans come from fanatism, you stop thinking, when you get in that mindset and it happens to all of us. You want something so much that you get attached and you cannot - it's hard to start seeing reality. So you will try to mold the reality to your thought process and if your champion is not winning then it cannot be his fault. It has to be something from the outside. It has to be the team destroying his chance or not favoring and so on and so on and so on. But there's nothing concrete behind those comments. It's pure fandom and it'll always be like this. And ultimately it's not a bad thing. You know drivers at that - sportsman at that level have to grow a thick skin. If not, you don't deserve to be there. You just have to have a thick skin because they're all very happy to get the compliments. They love it when it's just positive, but it gets balanced out with negatives and you need to be able to take and accept the negatives as well. It goes both ways. You cannot have the good. You just have to be a thick skin and know that it's part and parcels of what's going on. And in one month, it will be forgotten and maybe everything will change and it be the other driver that suddenly will be criticized and so on. So, it's just that's just the way it is.”
