A third alarm was struck at 8:42 a.m., bringing additional resources to the scene. After an intense firefighting operation, the fire was brought under control at 10:23 a.m. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. “The dedication and quick action of our firefighters prevented what could have been a far worse outcome,” said Charlotte Fire Chief Reginald Johnson. “Their ability to make decisive, tactical decisions under extreme conditions speaks to their training and professionalism.
