I’m with Carl Higbie. The authors of the 14th Amendment made it pretty clear: birthright citizenship is NOT in the text of the Amendment. It does not take a law degree to figure that out. SCOTUS failed. Congress must act. Anchors Away!

Massie: I think what’s even more concerning is, in the NDAA, Section 219, which is going to start commingling our military supply chains and technology with Israel’s. It doesn’t make sense to do that with a country of 10 million people. But they’ve got that in the NDAA. I’m told that’s not coming up this week, but we know it’s going to come up sometime—probably soon. So I’ve offered an amendment to strip Section 219—it was called Section 224—from that bill.

To debunk MAGA’s “insurrectionist” theory of the 2nd Amendment, just read the Constitution. Everywhere it rejects insurrection, including in the 14th Amendment which bans insurrectionists from ever holding office again. The Constitution does not provide for its own destruction.

The 14th Amendment Section 3 doesn’t apply to the President (Trump). If you read Section 3 of the 14th Amendment nowhere does it mention that one cannot be President. ▫️Legal Interpretation: The presidency is not considered an “officer of the United States” under the amendment. Officers are appointed, the President is appointed elected. Therefore the 14th Amendment wouldn’t apply to the President as they’re not an Officer of the United States. ▫️Debate Topic: Whether January 6th qualifies as an “insurrection” and whether Trump’s actions meet the amendment’s requirements. ▫️Supreme Court Ruling: This section of the amendment does not apply to the presidency.
