Ethanol is alcohol, it’s completely safe for the environment long term, it is a fire hazard in the short term.

I definitely agree as Ethanol is just alcohol and not really a hazmat threat but the reason why they are being all evacuated is due to the threat of multiple large explosions as it already happened a few times so that's why they are being very aware of this situation
