The most practical Boston Dynamics robot right now probably isn’t humanoid. It’s a truck-unloading robot called “Stretch”, which is already operational with DHL (the logistics company has a deal for 1,000 of these to unload trailers). For DHL employees, moving 50lb boxes for hours on end in 100-degree trailers is a huge injury risk. DHL has already trained 100 remote operators and working with more to learn how to operate Stretch, which is made up of three main pieces: ▫️Base: Size of a pallet with wheels. ▫️Arm: For manipulation with a vacuum gripper with suction cups that can carry up to 50lbs. ▫️Perception mast: A visual system that recognizes different box sizes and shapes, which informs the AI algos what objects to grab and move. Fable | 30 Minute Life Sim Gameplay: ▫️ 1,000 handcrafted, fully voiced NPCs ▫️ Hundreds of story conversations with over 2 hours of performance captured cinematics ▫️ Hundreds of branching dialogue choices ▫️ Every choice has a consequence ▫️ Six major regions - Oakshire is the countryside area shown in the demo ▫️ Your reputation is represented by the 'Reputation Cloud' - a list of words with characteristics that you're known for ▫️ Morality goes beyond just good and evil. Choices can be multi-faceted and morally gray - even being kind can divide opinions. ▫️ Each NPC has their own individual view of your choices ▫️ Your choices will spread throughout the town ▫️ You can buy literally any business, and take on their ▫️ Once you buy one, you can set prices, wages, and manage the staff ▫️ Each employee has their own characteristics. For example, if your bartender is known for being caring, it can net you a 10% income boost. ▫️ You can hire any NPC off the street ▫️ Villagers react to the reputation you've built and remember the things you do to them ▫️ Every shop has NPCs working in them. Some like rich people, while others hate them. This can affect your prices. ▫️ If a shop owner hates you they can increase their prices by 80% just for you 💀 ▫️ Your character can be fully customized at shops including tailors, hairdressers, tattooists, and more. Every settlement has different options. ▫️ There are rare outfits to discover in the more dangerous parts of Albion ▫️ Wardrobes allow you to change body, skin tone, clothing, head, hair, and more ▫️ You can check on your properties and relationships in the menu ▫️ You can check your Reputation Cloud in each area on the map ▫️ You can reset your reputation by paying the Town Crier (can be expensive) ▫️ You can buy any house in Albion with enough gold ▫️ Once you buy a house you can set the rent price, manage tenants, and even kick them out and move in yourself ▫️ If you kick them out though, it gives you a reputation as being heartless. Every choice has consequences. ▫️ There are mansions and much larger houses you can buy ▫️ If you commit crimes, guards can come after you and your reputation will be affected ▫️ Dynamic time of day where every NPC has a daily routine ▫️ You can romance NPCs if you meet their preferred characteristics ▫️ Take them on dates and even marry them and start a family ▫️ You can divorce them, or they can divorce you if you make the wrong choices ▫️ You can do an evil playthrough too - this will also affect your reputation ▫️ Combine Strength, Skill, and Will in combat ▫️ Choose your playstyle including weapons, skills, and abilities ▫️ Backup will arrive for guards until you leave the area ▫️ Commiting enough crimes will give you a bounty ▫️ Paying off bounties does not remove your reputation - it will stick with you until you intentionally try to change it ▫️ Releasing February 23rd, 2027 on PS5, Xbox, and PC Fable Playground Games #Fable
