If accurate, this is a serious governance matter, not merely a dispute over commercial strategy. Any attempt to privatise part of the World Cup’s value should face clear legal authority, transparent scrutiny and proper consultation with UEFA and the wider football community. The game’s biggest event must not become a private asset traded without accountability ⚽️⚖️ Please read my latest X:

This is what happens when you have dirty dealings with Trump. Now, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is getting hit with criminal charges. Imagine that trashy, low brow, low class, grifting Trump/Kushner family thinking they should own the World Cup of all things. Don't even know football but think you should own a tournament so prestigious.

@RobHarris Is this why the @ScottishFA were extremely reticent about criticising Infantino?

Selling the shares too, Thrive Capital and its CEO, #JoshuaKushner who is the brother of #DonaldTrump's son-in-law #JaredKushner The application was lodged by UEFA in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against JP Morgan Bank as well as planned lead investor Thrive Capital and its CEO, Joshua Kushner, who is the brother of Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. UEFA is targeting FIFA through courts in Miami, where the world body's legal team is based.

@RobHarris At the end of the day, Gianni Infantino is just trying to pull off an amazing World Cup, which is literally what a FIFA president is supposed to do. I really don't get the hate. Yeah, he might’ve pushed a little hard on advertising to fill seats and worked closely with
