I supported the last strikes, I’m all for striking for fairness, but 18 days is a lot, over half a month, this is my final year and will be crucial for my final grade, and having studied through covid and receiving no leniencies for this, this on top means I won’t achieve my best

Hi Hannah. We hope we don't have to take this action. But vice chancellors won't offer a pay rise, address insecure employment or restore massive pension cuts. Our members want to be back at work but wealthy universities are holding them to ransom.

I totally support the strikes, however, 18 days is almost 3 weeks missed out on vital education which is going to jeopardise our degrees. It is not the students fault that this is happening but I totally understand. Is there not a way students can be considered? We support you😢

Hi Ellie! We understand why this might worry you. We hope we don't have to take action, or at least all of it. But that is on university vice chancellors who won't offer a pay rise or reverse pension cuts and offer secure employment. Our members want to be back at work!

@StevePeers Will students be looking forward to fee refunds by any chance? Perhaps a bit of compensation for wasted time in extortionate accommodation would be appreciated.

As a university student who will likely be affected by this, I fully support the right to strike. If a strike is convenient, it can be ignored.

You can refund 3 weeks of my daughter's tuition fees & housing costs then.
