Director Naoki Hamaguchi said the battle system has been “perfected,” with the team building on everything they learned from both Remake and Rebirth. One of the biggest new features is the FITS system, which lets characters change their combat role depending on the outfit they equip. During the reveal, Tifa was shown using mage-style abilities, suggesting players will have much more freedom to customize their party than before.
