The legitimacy of the case against the Islamic republic is first and foremost rooted in the demands of the Iranian people inside Iran, who have repeatedly risen up, most recently in the millions, to demand an end to this regime. In this movement, there has been only one name they have called for, and only one transitional leadership the Iranian people have fought for: Reza Pahlavi. Now that doesn’t mean every Iranian is a monarchist, and it doesn’t mean “restoring monarchy” either. If fact, Pahlavi himself has called for a transition to democracy and has only ever called for a transition leadership. Many people are calling for Pahlavi today who did not support the Shah in the past. The world is still talking over them. Instead of listening to the Iranian people, the international media and multiple governments around the world have consistently proposed plan after plan, actively ignoring the will of the Iranian people. They have minimized and in some cases even mocked the Crown Prince, when he and he alone has the ear of the people on the ground. There have been well funded and coordinated efforts against the Crown Prince attempting to cast doubt on his popularity with the Iranian public and to spread rumors that anyone who supports him as a traditional leader is “restoring monarchy”. He has been accused of all sorts of absurdities from being an “Israeli agent” to being asked to answer for political decisions of his father that have nothing to do with him and still he has maintained the respect and support of the Iranian people. This is a cataclysmic mistake on the part of the West. Iran is not Afghanistan or Venezuela. You will never have a successful foreign imposed leader like the terrorist Ghalibaf when the people are calling for something else entirely. The legitimacy of the case against the Islamic republic is first and foremost rooted in the demands of the Iranian people inside Iran, who have repeatedly risen up, most recently in the millions, to demand an end to this regime. In this movement, there has been only one name they have called for, and only one transitional leadership the Iranian people have fought for: Reza Pahlavi. Now that doesn’t mean every Iranian is a monarchist, and it doesn’t mean “restoring monarchy” either. If fact, Pahlavi himself has called for a transition to democracy and has only ever called for a transition leadership. Many people are calling for Pahlavi today who did not support the Shah in the past. The world is still talking over them. These groups are not “angels,” and they do not enjoy broad popularity in Kurdish regions of Iran. They were involved in violent armed conflicts against rival Kurdish factions in the past and have been accused of committing war crimes during those conflicts. Many Iranians are aware of their separatist intentions and would not tolerate any attempt to partition Iran. i If people see any alliance between the U.S. or Israeli military and these Kurdish militant groups, many may choose neutrality. Iranians will not replace one terrorist threat with another. We also know that the MEK has historically maintained close ties with some separatist groups. I hope the President hear the voices of Iranians inside the country and in the diaspora. We understand what best serves the interests of Iranians, Americans, and regional stability. The scale of the killings has plunged Iranian society into deep shock and collective mourning. 3⃣ Following the release of these images, regime state media and officials implicitly acknowledged the occurrence of mass killings—without providing figures—while attempting to deflect responsibility. They claimed the bodies were “left behind by rioters” and denied the government’s role. Simultaneously, President Masoud Pezeshkian, the regime’s so-called reformist president, alleged that protesters had beheaded people and burned them alive. 4⃣ Field reports indicate large gatherings in Tehran neighborhoods including Punok, Shahrak-e Beheshti, Saadat Abad, Ashrafi Esfahani, and Pirouzi. In Tehran, protesters reportedly renamed a square from the name of Khomeini’s grandson to Pahlavi. 6⃣ Iran’s internet shutdown remains in place. According to NetBlocks, more than 72 hours after the blackout began, national connectivity is still at around 1% of normal levels. Due to the outage, information is emerging slowly and with delay, and very few reports are reaching the outside world from smaller cities. 7⃣ Coinciding with the fifteenth day of Iran’s national uprising, solidarity rallies by Iranians abroad continued in hundreds of cities across Europe, the United States, Canada, and elsewhere worldwide, in support of the Iranian people and Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.
