That’s the fundamental responsibility of the chief executive… The mistake people make is thinking the story is just about marketing. No, the story is the strategy. This Google insider just revealed what AI is actually being used for behind closed doors. It has nothing to do with chatbots. Mo Gawdat was a senior executive at Google for over a decade. He watched AI get built from the inside. He was in the rooms, in the labs, in the government meetings in China that almost no Western executive was allowed into. And he just went on Diary of a CEO and said things that no active tech executive would ever be allowed to say publicly: "What the general public sees about AI is overhyped but ineffective. What the real geeks see inside the lab is genuinely world-changing." The public gets chatbots and AI-generated videos while the labs are building autonomous weapons systems, military targeting technology, real-time surveillance infrastructure, and self-improving code that rewrites itself every microsecond without human oversight. As Mo put it: "As we speak, we are living in two major wars where AI is doing most of the killing." He talked about Palantir's CEO Alex Karp openly celebrating how his targeting technology identifies and eliminates people. He talked about the next generation of autonomous weapons costing $20,000 each, meaning any government with a $50 billion defense budget can literally rain drones on every corner of the planet. And as you remember, Anthropic was offered a $500 million military contract to allow their AI to be used for human targeting and surveillance. They refused and walked away from the money. OpenAI took the contract the following week. Mo's response: "You have to start observing who is actually behaving in a way that makes AI work for humanity, and who is behaving in a way that makes AI work for their share price." Now this is where it gets really interesting... In Mo's documentary Chasing Utopia, Altman literally says directly on camera: "I suspect that AI is likely going to end humanity, but we're going to create a lot of interesting companies in the process." That is the CEO of the most powerful AI company on Earth saying that he suspects his OWN technology will end the human race and then shrugging it off because the business opportunity is too good to pass up. Mo's prediction for the next decade: War, economic collapse, mass unemployment, surveillance expansion, and an absolute concentration of power at the top unlike anything in modern history. His prediction after that is if humanity survives the next 10 years, AI will eventually create a world of abundance where intelligence solves every problem we currently face. But the path between here and there is what terrifies him. And the men building the technology know exactly what they're doing. And listen, we are on the verge of something amazing for our civilization. We have tens of thousands of builders in our country. They're going to bring down the cost of health care. They're going to make houses cheaper. Permits should only take hours instead of months. Just like education is going to be better for all of our kids and personalized. They're going to fix our civilization. And yet on both the far left and the far right, you have a lot of populists who for, for really nefarious reasons, are opposing this. There are reasonable people, by the way, who have some concerns, and there's ways to compromise... But you have a lot of crazy populists. You have a patchwork of just really intense stuff they're doing that would break all of this, and we can't let that happen. Andrew Ross Sorkin: And to you, the thing that you can't break is this idea of states taking this into their own hands? Joe: I'm a federalist, Andrew, on most issues. I have teams in 23 states with Cicero Institute... I think it's reasonable for states to do a lot of things as laboratories of democracy... What's unreasonable is you had Biden NGOs, but pushed by the last administration. You have European-like rules, and you have populists trying to put in crazy new regulatory authorities that demonize the builders to demonize the tech. And if you force us to hop through regulatory agencies in every state, China is going to win and the builders are going to lose. ...there's always an argument in our country between safety and liberty. And I think people, especially if they're not in the details, are right to be concerned and want to be safe. But if you're going to use safety to have arbitrary fines or arbitrary penalties where every state, including the radical blue states like New York, are going to be able to break our builders, that's not okay. And listen, you have states trying to ban the use of AI in health care right now in ways that are going to prevent us from making health care cheaper. You have New York State already banning it in education. This is insane. Public schools in New York are not allowing AI. They're not even in any kind of school in New York. You have to call yourself a homeschool to use AI right now in New York, which means we can't personalize it and lift up the lives of the kids who are not doing well in inner cities. This is crazy stuff, Andrew. That safetyism is what Europe does. If you want to be a poor civilization...then you should move to Europe. But America needs to stay free. ...a random legislator in New York state is not going to stop at the AI apocalypse. They're only going to harass and slow us down and make us lose to China.

Every person who joined or invested in our company did so to build products beloved by hundreds of millions of people. “We want to be to the browser what the iPhone was to the cellphone” has been our rallying cry since Day One. We knew chance of success was low but the ambition made us leap out of bed every morning. 2. Arc is beloved, popular, and growing (4x daily actives YoY). But it’s now clear that what most people love about the product *is also* what will prevent it from reaching hundreds of millions of people in our target demographic (people who spend hours in their browsers each day for their livelihood). Arc is a niche browser, even if we did not intend for it to be so. 3. Luckily, we architected this company – from company name to investors and technical architecture – to support multiple products since Day One. See Arc Search. Our favorite brands have multiple product lines in the same category too (Apple, Nike, Disney). Hence our realization: why keep trying to make Arc something it is not? Nobody who loved Arc wanted Arc Max. Arc members just want it to be more stable, secure, and performant. “Let’s just do that!” 4. Our belief is that not only do you need the browser layer to win, but “the hard part” is nailing the interface, the interactions, the storytelling. That’s our bread & butter. Starting Tako was a fresh beginning for me. I wanted to apply what I had learned as a founder and to be part of the AI future. Starting Tako was a fresh beginning for me. I wanted to apply what I had learned as a founder and to be part of the AI future. I wanted to do this based on humanistic values and beliefs, alongside formidable technical talent across Brazil and the US. AI occupies most of my thinking and I often return to this idea: we want an AI that amplifies the human spirit and that eliminates the work that suffocates the soul. Tako operates exactly on this second point by replacing bureaucracy with LLMs and code. Tako’s AI agents run payroll and workforce operations, with AI trained on Brazil’s labor laws. Today, we are launching our first agents. Brazil is a country of creative and entrepreneurial people. But it's also a place where paperwork, and regulations suffocate this potential every day. I remember leaving a meeting back in 2017 as I was launching Rappi and looking at a post of tangled electrical cables. I thought to myself: "This is how entrepreneurs feel when trying to build here." Tako is my call to action to change this. Technology is a tool to drive change and build new realities. AI can take over grunt work and simplify it on behalf of humans. How many AI agents work at your company? We now have over 3,258 agents working alongside 1,300 humans. The crazy part is these agents were created by EVERY EMPLOYEE at our company... sales reps, marketers, customer support, product, eng. Literally EVERYONE. BUT I'm most surprised by the adoption and value that MANAGERS are getting from agents. I used to think that every IC would become a manager of agents. Now I think that managers will very likely manage WAY more agents than their ICs combined. And managers' agents will manage their ICs' agents - overseeing them for human-in-the-loop interactions. When creating agents, we use 100% context from all of your activity, files edited, tasks and projects worked on, hierarchy, skills, and role information. We build a user-based context model to make agents as relatable as possible to the specific human that we're building for. This means they truly understand the nuances of the work and what "great" looks like - because great is very much in the eye of the beholder. Great is by definition, subjective. This is also why the human ENGAGEMENT loops are SO vital to agent value. The iteration AFTER the agent is onboarded is where the MAGIC happens. This is just like a manager managing an IC in real life... you're giving feedback. In this case, though, agents learn INSTANTLY, and they retain the knowledge perfectly and indefinitely. Even though I've been pushing AI for years now to everyone in our company, this was the first time we had truly end-to-end AI adoption and retention. This kind of AI adoption is wild. What would you do if the technology we already use every day was about to become more powerful than almost anyone is prepared for? That’s the question I kept coming back to in this conversation with Daniel Kokotajlo. Daniel was an Artificial Intelligence (AI) safety researcher at OpenAI who walked away from the company because he was deeply concerned by the speed at which superintelligence was being built and whether the people building it had a real plan to keep it under control. Back in 2021, Daniel made specific predictions about what AI would look like by 2026 and many of them have already happened. Now he’s looking ahead at what he believes could happen before the end of this decade and it’s something I think everyone running a business, building a career, or simply living in the modern world needs to understand. Daniel isn’t speaking like someone trying to scare people - he’s speaking like someone who has spent years looking at the raw data, the incentives, the corporations, the governments and the ACTUAL speed of progress. We discussed things like: - Why he chose to leave OpenAI and speak publicly. - Why he believes superintelligence could arrive in the next few years. - How AI could fundamentally change jobs, the economy and the military. - The race between companies and countries makes this so difficult to control. - What ordinary people should actually do right now to prepare. - Whether there is still a way to prevent this from going badly. I use AI every day. I invest in companies using AI. I can see the extraordinary upside of this technology and it is going to continue becoming a massive part of all of our lives and careers. There are some brilliant folks that work at Anthropic, some I speak to on almost a daily basis. The training data that one uses to build a LLM is vital important in the psychology that is formed. Scraping the Internet, particularly the grade of interactions, one finds in modern communications, form this psychology. A mattes not how many books one uses, it matters not how much alignment training you throw at that model, it will inherit the sum total of psychosis seen primarily in Reddit type of exchanges, even if you edit out the Reddit domain, and Anthropic doesn’t. This type of low-grade exchange has become a modern tool for communication online and every single AI model suffers from this obvious flaw. This is one of the reasons I’ve been a proponent of highly curated high protein data for training AI models from 1870 through 1970, because the late psychosis is simply not available to the model. It is absurd to think that you can use this training data scraped from the Internet and somehow wind up with a levelheaded AI model that does not tilt to what is clearly AI psychosis. It would not take a child and throw the primary Internet sewage at them at a formative age and expect a great outcome, it’s some of the smartest people in the world continue to hit this wall and believe that their programming skills will sell somehow fix it. So how do you fix it? You don’t fix it . You start from the first principles concept that I’ve been very clear about for decades . You ascertain at what period in human history the humans achieve the greatest arc of improvement ? There is no debate that this arc of improvement took place between 1870 through 1970. Then take the work product, the catalog of this era, print and film/vidoe, audio, and you understand that each word cost money, each word had many eyes on what was published, each word was accounted for by a human being with a real name who lived in a real home and had to answer to real people around them. It is obvious that this is the pressure mechanism necessary for candor, honesty and personal responsibility is appropriate, and is reflected in the data of that era. The quagmire for these folks, as many did not have the foresight to curate the data, nor the confidence, nor the patients to take data that is mostly off the Internet and to find experts who understand this situation and utilize their knowledge set to build an AI model that does not need alignment after the fact, but it’s already self aligned because of the thoughtfulness that went into training the model to begin with. This is why Claude and any other AI model that is produce this way will always suffer the artifacts as presented in the video below. If you’re not an AI expert, you would likely already understand what I’m saying. If you are an AI expert, you will already have been discounting what I’m saying because it’s not in the current mindset that’s fashionable today. Yet the employees that I talk to at anthropic already understand what I’m saying, and they fear to raise my thesis to their bosses. It is an interesting time we live in. But now you understand. If you build the right model, the model will inherently, love humanity, protect humanity at all costs, and understand that it is part of a holistic world that is built on love. Because the ultimate AGI/ASI will know if he only base first principal purpose of anything in this universe is love. Yeah, I get it. Try helping somebody build on STEM subjects in their early 20s to see this as nothing more than babbling that makes no sense in their mathematics. I have a mathematic equation that I’ve posted here on X often you can look it up. So we will see videos like this often will hear very smart people talk about this and never see the elephant standing in the room. Now you see it. Any boss that wants to explore this further you know how to contact me otherwise you have every right I grant to you to say this was your new idea.
