Now the question is what AARO will do with the information. Will it be used to expose the programs or will it be used against the witnesses?

A thought-provoking trilogy on The Kennedy Files. This 3-part series exposes declassified information on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, unraveling the complex web of evidence surrounding that fateful day in 1963.

Is that a breaking story though? Didn’t Grush already openly testify about this to Congress, and provide a list of firsthand witnesses in a protected disclosure? Or is the new part that AARO met some of them?

My Take: They know who next to block from coming forward by proactively discrediting and what new leaks they need to plug to keep the goodies hidden. I got zero trust in AARO.

Thanks, Marik. There's always hope that the truth will win out. The secreting of all this stuff may have irreparably harmed our national security interests. It's even more egregious if the profit motive was the real reason. Your work is so appreciated.

Even I have to be a little bit more careful about hanging the label of illegality on many of these programs. The United States national security policy is dictated by law to some degree and augmented by beauracratic practice over decades. The crash retrieval programs exists in the executive branch and the executive branch has constitutionally mandated autonomy from the legislative branch. There’s a string of cases vesting national security policy exclusively in the executive branch. And even if a program is funded outside the oversight of Congress, till I see an actual court case that says these programs are illegal, I am not going to assume so. The question of whether a program is illegally funded may be in the court’s mind, an entirely separate issue from whether the program itself is illegal.
