Sakuga Over The Years (September 1998) KA: Shinji Hashimoto (橋本晋治), (Artist Unknown) Movie: Spriggan (スプリガン) For some reason screenshots I’ve seen of this movie reminded me of Akira, which is weird because Otomo wasn’t involved with character designs at all, but he did have chief supervision over it so maybe there’s a bit of his touch throughout the movie? Anyways, this one’s directed by Hirotsugu Kawasaki with character designs by Hisashi Eguchi (both artists I’ve made posts on this thread so that’s pretty cool) and this is my first post for Shinji Hashimoto! He tends to do scenes similarly to Shinya Ohira at times as they’d work together often. He did a lot of really ambitious stuff here like the scene of the guy jumping of the building and the close combat stuff is masterful. Also the zoom out at the end is dope. I think this is all Hashimoto but Booru also has an unknown artist credited so it may not be just him.

It’s just the unfamiliarity at the very beginning, like a change of sort, because we’ve never done that before, it’s something new to both of us. Patrick Collison flew out to Shanghai to meet Jack and his co-founder, and they spent the day together. It was like this guy is so smart.” Asked what makes Patrick Collison so smart, Jack replies: “He’s intellectually honest about everything, and he’s able to go deep in multiple dimensions.” Eventually Stripe offered $1.2 billion for Airwallex, and according to Jack, he and his co-founders would’ve walked away with $350 million. “I met with the whole team, and I was really impressed,” Jack recalls. “I basically said I think we’re going to do it.” But when he flew back to Melbourne, Jack decided against it. And it was actually Patrick Collison who inspired him to reject the offer. Jack explains: “So one of the things that really inspired me from talking and spending time with Patrick was I asked, ‘What’s the long-term thing for Stripe and yourself? Are you going to be here forever?’ And Patrick said to me that he’s going to build Stripe for the next 20-40 years. And I just never heard a founder tell me they will dedicate their entire life to building a business. This is impossible, I've been gone from her community for over a year up until you started flinging shit at people, I had not spoken to her until the drama started. Second, you Ad Hominem attack me SEVEN times in 60 seconds, that's almost a record. Not a good look for the self-proclaimed "voice of reason". Third, you don't address even a singular one of the points I have made over the last couple weeks, nearly every single one of which has ratio'd you even in your own comments and has dozens of people agreeing with me that you're incorrect or disingenuous in your points.
