Brett Meiselas: "Why does Congress as a whole work less than the average American. You would think that this body, people who are running the country, that they should actually be working and be in the office. Some people work in one job for 12 plus hours. Some people... show more

Trump: You have some vaccines that are so amazing. The polio vaccine I think is amazing. A lot of people think that covid is amazing. You know. I think you have to be very careful when you say that some people don't have to be vaccinated. You have vaccines that work. Just pure and simple they work. They're not controversial at all. And I think those vaccines should be used otherwise some people are going to catch it and they endanger other people. And when you don't have controversy at all, I think people should take them.

.@jason shares what it was like inside the Twitter / X buyout in 2022: "It would be 12-1am, everyone would be exhausted, and we'd do two more meetings. Elon just has an insane work ethic. In my opinion, it was the greatest heist in the history of business. A large portion of them were not working, making huge salaries, and spending money like drunken sailors. There was software and office space being paid for that was never touched. They were paying $400 for catered lunches. You could have sent them to Michelin star restaurants for every meal and still saved money. There were some people that were working hard. But there were people that were not working at all. Combined with COVID work form home work ethic, there was abuse in that system that has never been matched. It really broke people's brains when they laid off 85% of the staff and the product started working better and shipping faster. People realized these companies are massively overstaffed and you can do more with less."

Lazy people do a little work, and think they should be winning. Winners work as hard as possible and still worry if they are being lazy. I hope that we will never be a program like that - where we actually think that when the lights come on then it's time to work. Lewis Caralla

Phillip: Isn’t it the point that they need to get to a certain number in savings and in order to do that, they need fewer people to get benefits? Jennings: Yes. Isn’t it the point that you want people to go to work? Phillip: So in order to save money, you got to get people off the program. How is that not taking people off the program? Jennings: Because the goal of medicaid is not to trap people. It's not supposed to be a lifestyle.. I mean, there are able bodied people all over this country who do nothing.

Brett Meiselas: These people are just the gaslighters of the highest order. They create these fictional worlds to try to distract from the problems that they created. The entire world is in turmoil. We're at war. Farmers are getting absolutely crushed — "Kamala Harris would have killed you if you let her in. So you should be happy with your scraps."

Brett Meiselas on Iran's approach to negotiations: They seem to be presenting themselves with professionalism. The people they have in the room are actual experts — nuclear experts, professors, mediators, people who understand the issues. It's not like someone's son-in-law and some real estate guy.

Cardi B gives Beyoncé her flowers for being a one in a million artist. " Do You Think that Beyonce got a f***ing boat and a mansion and this and that because she's just... Beyonce? No, she work her ass off. She's one of the hardest working people ever. Why people cannot go to her level? Why people cannot this and that? Because they just can't ,she just have an insane work ethic. Insane time."

🚨 BREAKING: President Trump pushes back on Florida removing all vaccine mandates, including for schoolchildren. He says some vaccines are a must. "I think we have to be careful. Shuler: As a backdrop, the economy isn’t working for working people right now. We have inequality at its highest levels. People are working harder and harder for less. They’re working two and three jobs just to keep up. In the U.S., 40 percent of workers do not have $400 for an emergency. Now put AI on top of that—the insecurity that we are all experiencing, the fact that people are waking up and some new technology is landing in their jobs without training and without having a say. Of course they’re going to be anxious and feel insecure about what the future holds. And so I really think we need to stop and ask, “Who are we doing this for? What are the results we want? And how do we get there?” We get there by including workers in the process. They shouldn’t have to be at the end of the cycle. They should actually be upstream.

People who LIVE off benefits as if it's a career goal will always be the weakest link in any society. Food is expensive, sure but it's only expensive in money. All of these people believe we should live in a society where it's all free and we work together, but the problem is that even in that society? They'll still be a drain. Because that's who they are as people.

Legal immigrants are enraged because people think they should have compassion on illegals who cheated the system “You think that my taxpayer money that I work so hard for, my salary gets cut, you think that money should go to people who cheated the system and are here illegally being a criminal?! You think I should pay for their healthcare? Are you out of your freaking mind?!”

“Champagne socialist scammers steal the money." Spencer Pratt tells Bill Maher that instead of taxing people more — he wants to stop the theft of taxpayer dollars instead: "We are already taxed so much in LA in California, I can't even comprehend taxing more." "What's happening is we tax these people and then other rich people, the champagne socialist scammers steal that money because they're all connected to the people taxing you." "And then the people that should see the money, the communities that are after the boys and girls clubs, the parks, the actual infrastructure doesn't see that money because different rich people stole the money that was being taxed from the rich people." "We're gonna actually put it to the people that have turned to socialism because they say America doesn't work. It doesn't work if we let people steal all the tax money and we have no accountability and transparency." Elect this man, Los Angeles.

Steve Jobs on working with incredibly talented people “When you’ve got incredibly talented people that are also rare and in demand, if you don’t treat them right, they can go get another job in 10 minutes,” Steve Jobs explains. “So this strange thing happens where the hierarchy of power inverts, and the CEO is actually at the bottom.” He continues: “So I feel like I work for most of these people because they’re the ones who are doing all of the brilliant work . . . The best people are very hard to come by, so it’s management’s job to support them because they’re on the frontlines doing the work. So that’s kind of how we run [Pixar].”

American says there is a huge issue taking place in the workforce It started with creative jobs and now it’s happening everywhere, including government job postings Companies are essentially mislabeling jobs. They are making job openings for independent contractors for jobs, but then giving instructions as if they were an employee. They tell you when you need to work and manage you like any other employee But they don’t have to pay sick time, overtime, insurance, nothing “They're not giving you any of the employee protections that you would give to somebody that you hire on, and they don't have to lay people off because they're just basically getting rid of everybody every, like, 6-9 months” This is actually a widespread issue and it’s such a widespread issue that California even had to pass legislation against it In California if they hire someone like this the work is outside the usual course of the hiring entity’s business and the worker is free from the hiring entity’s control and direction in how the work is performed This just shows that companies are abusing workers and hiring these people, directing them just like a normal employee but providing none of the perks. A loophole to screw people over

"All they do is sit around talking about how stupid the place they work is, and these are the people that give them money to feed their family... You ought to be ashamed of yourself if the people you work for are stupid and you stay. What’s that make you? Stupid? So hit the road. Don’t let the door hit you in the butt." Dave Ramsey

In my opinion, there should be the least amount of government • Paying people to do nothing doesn’t make sense • Jobs aren’t valuable just because they exist • You want people working on things that are productive • People should be building things and providing real products and services • Creating jobs for the sake of jobs is not the goal... - Elon Musk

Around one in five people of working age have a disability. Many of them already work - many more would wish to. We should be investing in giving disabled people the confidence and opportunities so that they can enter the world of work and thrive.
