In my opinion, it was the greatest heist in the history of business. A large portion of them were not working, making huge salaries, and spending money like drunken sailors. There was software and office space being paid for that was never touched. They were paying $400 for catered lunches. You could have sent them to Michelin star restaurants for every meal and still saved money. There were some people that were working hard. But there were people that were not working at all. Combined with COVID work form home work ethic, there was abuse in that system that has never been matched. It really broke people's brains when they laid off 85% of the staff and the product started working better and shipping faster. People realized these companies are massively overstaffed and you can do more with less."

They’re working two and three jobs just to keep up. In the U.S., 40 percent of workers do not have $400 for an emergency. Now put AI on top of that—the insecurity that we are all experiencing, the fact that people are waking up and some new technology is landing in their jobs without training and without having a say. Of course they’re going to be anxious and feel insecure about what the future holds. And so I really think we need to stop and ask, “Who are we doing this for? What are the results we want? And how do we get there?” We get there by including workers in the process. They shouldn’t have to be at the end of the cycle. They should actually be upstream.

I mean, genuinely, they won't even pick up the phone. If I were Mike Johnson, you should be in that office negotiating with Hakeem Jeffries every day until we reopen this government. And any day that you don't do that is a failure. It is a failure. And until there is accountability for people who refuse to work, to work, then we're going to continue to be in this cycle.

If the primary motivation for the individual to come to the United States is to work to progress themselves, to become a maker, to create things, to work in such a way that they can generate income, save capital, buy things, advance their family's position because they are denied those rights due to the tyranny of the place that they're coming from, then they should be granted immigration status to come to this country and contribute.
