It's one of a career's worth of things that seem little and zig-zaggy at the time that you might only say yes to in the first place if you're comfortable in Flounder Mode. Brie coined the... term after spending a day with Kevin Kelly and writing a phenomenal, personal, and original profile on him. The profile is as much about Kevin's impact on Brie as it as about Kevin himself, which is a fitting way to profile someone whose work has touched so many careers. Flounder Mode is a way of building a career by following your curiosity. It's winding, weird, and often illegible. I know something about this - I've been in Flounder Mode without having the words for it before reading Brie's essay. We talk all about Flounder Mode - why it feels uncomfortable, whether you can ever get over that feeling, and how to do it well - in our conversation. as I'm sure many of you have come to realize - "waking up" is very different from "understanding" why things in the world and on TV seem to be happening at a pace and in a way that you cannot affect or do anything about - nor can you look or walk away, for very long. that's the place I needed to get to in order to understand that we really are watching a scripted movie, that in fact, the only thing we can do is know about it, wake people up to it and enjoy the show - and PRAY. this clip encapsulates where it's all headed and why.

I asked Luke Kornet about his memories from stretches where he was a DNP for many games in a row, and what his message is to the young guys who find themselves in that position now: “It's just a lot of peace to come to life of accepting the position that you're in and then just doing the best with that, versus trying to fight it and want to be in a different one.” “You can spend a lot of time worrying about things that you can't really control. But when you just take the opportunity that you have and do the best with that, you can have days like today where a lot of guys came in and were able to contribute. You can have peace about knowing that you did your job well, just as you did the day before, the day after. It might just look a different way every time. I feel like that's what I've been taught through my life. That's the only thing attitude that you can have that you can actually do something with – versus trying to control things that are outside of what you can control.”

Jay, the artist that you are 🥹 🐈‍⬛: Well, I'm the type of person who tends to overthink things. It's not just as simple as "oh, there's no water". My perspective has shifted a bit. Of course, being a good singer, dancer, and being good-looking are all very important aspects of being an artist...that's the core of the job. But I've come to feel that, even before being a singer, it's a profession that affects a lot of people, not just bringing joy, but also a wide range of emotions. Especially in places like fan sign events, where I get to have sincere conversations with fans, I realized early after debut that what we give isn't just joy or quick dopamine hits. That's really only a small part of it. Over time, I started to feel more deeply about how my actions, the way I think, and the influence I have might affect others. It made me reflect a lot. The idea of what's "right"...the definition of that is something no one can set in stone. Everyone has their own standard of what's right. But even so, I want to do my best to be someone who lives by what I believe is right and try to pass that on to others as much as I can. So I often find myself hitting a wall, constantly questioning what "right" even is. Even if I think one way, someone else might think differently. That makes me more cautious about the things I say. Because of that, I've had more and more fans come to me for advice, sharing their worries, even asking for guidance about their future when we talk in person. And every time that happens, I really feel the weight of my words.

I'm very happy to be able to spend a day filled with so much love here in Bangkok after such a long time. I hope that this day of yours will also be filled with love and I hope that my feelings can reach all of you just as I feel them. Um ... This time because of my schedule and also due to health reasons I wasn't able to prepare a song. For the next fan meeting I will definitely prepare one. And thank you so, so much. Many people often say that this place feels like a second homeand for me as well being able to come and meet all of you has always been such a warm and happy experience. Whether it was going for that run, hearing everyone's laughter or hearing your applause as we meet like this at a fan meeting ... all of these things have become the greatest meaning in my life as an actor. lando talking about how special it feels for him to win constructors’ titles after starting with the team in tougher times and their dominance 🥹❤️‍🩹 “i mean another one is just a great thing. it's another constructor feels the same as the first, because to get the first was quite an achievement if you still look at where we were just three years ago. we've overtaken every team in terms of development. we've outdone them by a long way in terms of development, and in a time when it's almost harder to do than ever, with more restrictions and less wind tunnel time, all of those different things, budget cap, that's really been more in our favor over the last five years comparing to the budget that the other teams could run at. but in a time when it should be more difficult than ever to dominate, that's exactly what the team have done and given us, by a long way, the best car on the grid. i mean, it's always a very nice thing to say. every driver that gets to say that always puts a smile on your face. but we've also done very well as a team in terms of drivers between oscar and myself pushing each other and delivering every single weekend. and you don't see that on any other team. so i think we're also very proud of that as drivers. but for me, i've been with mclaren since i started. especially it was a very different time and different place then to where we are now. so that journey makes it more special to know the downs because that's a lot of what it was back then to see the rise that we've had to see the teamwork, the changes, the atmosphere difference and the leadership from zak, from andrea especially, has turned things around and made us as a team the best in the world. and that's something that many people don't ever get to say”
