Brilliant ideaโ ๏ธ ๐ฌ๐ญGhana Football Association Talent Identification programme for players of Ghanaian descent in ๐ฌ๐งUK Category One academies. The level of performance yesterday was outstanding๐ฅ, as you would expect, and there are plans to replicate this initiative across the world. Itโs a start, and a very good start.

This can never be a good idea, if you understand how sports ecosystem contributes to national economy and way to solve unemployment. You would not chase 19years old born in Europe whilst you have over 100,000 youths in the country struggling to get the same opportunity.

It's a great idea only if the same is done in Ghana, and in fact it should have started in Ghana even before other countries. The signal this sends to young players in Ghana is that โyou do not have a chance from Ghana unless you are from abroad.โ A good initiative started badly. Those here also deserve better. We are all Ghanaians. Their class is not better than ours back here.

Start the same thing in Ghana. The country is full of talent but the leaders are failing us

I think this is a brilliant idea, getting involved in their development at a young age. However, we still need to focus on grassroots football in Ghana. We have talented prospects here who can become great assets for the nation with the right support and opportunities.

Excellent idea ๐ก ๐๐ฝ

What brilliant about this? Is it because you get to pitch boys from your institution? Our colts is dead. No home grown talent here. And you want kids who can switch on you at anytime to be the main objective? Cmon my guy. Donโt be like them

Soo irrelevant

The Ghanaian league is done bro forget about the local players getting called up into the BlackStars because now the talent hunt is moving from local to foreign smh Interesting times ahead lol

Brilliant idea indeed!๐๐ Yall are part of the rot! Imagine the English FA doing a talent identification program for players of British descent in Ghana. Nonsense right? Yeah thatโs what the GfA is doing. What happened to the talent in Ghana? Are they done identifying them? Tsw!

Of course a brilliant idea... is it going to be the same for the talents we have here in Ghana??

You guys are disingenuous and ass-lickers. Gfa is destroying the local league and because you get to host the event and the benefits to you, you are supporting this. This initiative isnโt bad in itself but not when the local league is struggling.

Just build a good facility in Ghana you will get these players there

Anything but building the talent here in Ghana...

You've neglected your home talent to go pluck talent abroad How's that any brilliant?

You have a league and you're running your league anyhow, now the league can't produce any quality players. You should be ashamed for glorifying such fruitless exercise. Dabษn na mo bษtumi aka nokorษ akyerษ

@thePOE_T How is this a brilliant idea. Make u people dey tell the truth ooo. Yooo

Not brilliant. I hate it. What message are we sending to Ghanaian kids ij Ghana????????

Classic African solution - a non solution to hide dysfunction. Why not copy the French model to develop local talent? The English copied France and now turn out so many young world class athletes.

Local players in this country should start wising up Your leaders in Ghana here don't really rate you until you travel outside this programme should tell the local players that now they need to put in extra extra work before they get the chance to represent Ghana the gap is wide

lol. You left the abundance talent here in search for talents outside.

Very

It can only be a great idea if similar project is currently on going in Ghana. Ghana has great local talents but due to poor leadership n poor football infrastructure, weโre not able to nurture these talents. @kurtokraku must first focus on building infrstrctur & local talents.

George, u guys for speak truth to d FA guys , they are a mess, seeing what has become of the domestic football, n national teams, even the cash cow cannot produce any milk despite all resources push towards it..why corruption has blinded their minds ...it won't work.

Dope

@PrempehOA Now this is something I can get behind!!!!brilliant!!!

@dr_pkfianu Wey player you see for there wey you no see some for Ghana?

This is a fruitless exercise. It will lead to the Derick Kohn situation where they will feel entitled to selection because of the switch of nationality

What are they coming to do ?โฆ After They Foolishly Switch Nationality, Then you Drop Am Like Derrick Khon right ?

What of making those talents at home better....what measures have the FA put in place to make our league competitive? Fans don't even attend matches in Ghana

Ah ๐

So the FA is all about National teams and keep messing up the local leagueโฆ ah well

Slavery never left .. the mindset of anything from abroad is better is crazy.. instead of us scouting form the villages in Ghana ..Jeez!

@thePOE_T So they have left all the talents to rot here in Ghana and now chasing talents abroad? While Right to Dream is also here in Ghana unearthing talent? Between the talents in the UK and those in Ghana, who needs this opportunity??
