I don’t think that you can attribute the inequality gap solely to billionaires in UK. Arguably there are also ways to work with billionaires to solve the income inequality gap without disincentivising trade. Cost of goods, austerity, private equity (price gauging), lack of clear policy are interdependent but core drivers to inequality. If we stopped obsessing with tax and focused on action to reinvest / rotate capital back to communities I think you’d have a much stronger case.

Ironically, Gary is one of the problems of a free market economy. He sells a message that is appealing to people who are impoverished, makes matters worse and profits from it. Certain parts of capitalism suck. But not as much as Garyconomics.

The problem is not that someone has been successful in life. The problem is government reckless spending and wastage. If British workers weren't footing the bill for foreigners living on benefits in hotels and social housing, foreign aid, net zero scam. Their taxes could easily be cut putting extra money back into their own pockets.
