President Zelensky: This week, our warriors achieved important results in imposing long-range sanctions against Russian facilities that fuel this war. Ukrainian drones reached Siberia and struck the oil refinery in Omsk – nearly 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine. Now, no Russian oil refinery is beyond the reach of Ukrainian weapons. Our responses to Russian strikes also targeted oil facilities in the Saratov, Rostov, Tver, Stavropol, and Krasnodar regions, as well as in Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. An airfield in the Voronezh region and a strategic enterprise in Tver were hit. Drones were also used against facilities in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Bryansk regions. 🚨🇺🇦 UKRAINE IS PREPARING FOR A DRAMATIC LEAP IN LONG-RANGE STRIKE CAPABILITIES. President Volodymyr Zelensky says Kyiv expects to field drones capable of flying 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers as early as next year. Speaking about Ukraine’s rapidly expanding drone program, Zelensky revealed that the country already operates long-range unmanned aerial vehicles with a combat range of more than 3,000 kilometers. Ukrainians understood long ago that NATO would not close our skies. But look: Ukraine had no weapons at the beginning of the full-scale war in 2022, and now, in 2026, Ukrainian drones are striking targets deep in Russia’s Ural, while Putin is afraid to hold a military parade on Red Square in Moscow without extraordinary security measures. Ukraine is now helping strengthen air defense systems in the Middle East through our battlefield experience and technological expertise, and is a strategic partner for countries in that region. Ukraine tries to shoot down every possible Russian drone, including those flying toward neighboring countries such as Romania, Moldova, and Poland. Ukraine is building a modern air defense architecture that will help protect not only Ukraine, but also our neighbors from Russian drones and missiles. It is important to help Ukraine strengthen our air defense and produce interceptor missiles. This will also strengthen Europe’s defense against Russia.

Global attention is focused on the Persian Gulf. But we have news too. March 2026 became the first month when, in terms of deep strikes, Ukraine reached parity with Russia. The average number of long-range kamikaze drones launched by Ukraine has significantly increased, while the average number of Russian strike drones launched against Ukraine has currently dropped to 90–110 per day. Experts offer various possible reasons for this decrease: ▪️ drone production in Russia was not fully localized and partially depended on Iran; ▪️ logistics routes have become longer, and Iran itself now needs drones; ▪️ Ukraine is partially hitting production sites and factories; ▪️ possibly, Russia is stockpiling drones, perhaps for hybrid provocations in other regions; ▪️ it is also likely that Russia has started supplying drones to Iran. By spring, Ukraine has significantly increased strikes on Russia using long-range kamikaze drones. For example: on the night of March 18, Russia officially claimed to have "shot down" 238 drones; however, some of them struck a chemical plant in Stavropol Krai and an electronics facility in Sevastopol. Ukraine has also expanded its operational range: over 1,500 km. Russians have openly expressed concern about the security of military infrastructure in the Urals. Ukraine has increased and continues to increase both the production and variety of drones.
