25 years of 8701…crazy how fast the time went. We can talk about the streams/sales. We can talk about the awards. But 8701 was always bigger than the numbers or any of those things. It’s the memories we made. It’s the fact that this album is what transformed me and truly put me on the map from a teen into a young man. Thank U for all the love and support. U are what has made 8701 so special for all these years. 25 years later and we’re still making memories.

omg, this reactor is really good at dissecting songs because i never thought of it that way??? i was also confused by olivia’s writing and the way she delivered some of the lyrics on my first listen, but maybe it was intentional. the song is about how this love makes her feel young again, so the writing and delivery feels a little youthful. even the title, u + me = <3 makes so much more sense now.
