Breaking down the Brendan Donovan Trade 🧵: SWP- Jurrangelo Cijntje (AA) Cijntje is a switch pitcher who is much more proficient from the right side than the left side, even to the point where Seattle wasn't going to use the left hand this season. From the right side he boasts a mid to high 90s fastball touching 98 with good movement, and then a mid 80s slider which is his best complementary pitch. The changeup is hard and while it's his third best pitch, getting him the Cardinals organization should help him develop that changeup further. Cijntje is an elite pitcher against right handed batters holding them to a .166 average and a .480 OPS, though he struggles against lefties giving up a .252 average and a .845 OPS. I believe the Cardinals will drop the left-hand, but if they don't he features a low 90s fastball with a low 80s sweeper that profiles as a fringe bullpen role.

Firefighter/Paramedic Timothy Nuttall is supposed to be an objective witness with no agenda. When asked a simple question about the presence of injuries on the left side of John O’Keefe’s face after just testifying that he only had injuries to the right side of his body (not true), Nuttall can’t just admit the truth—that yes John O’Keefe DID have injuries to the left side of his face. Instead, seemingly desperate to support Hank Brennan’s narrative, Nuttall avoids answering the question and instead offers an explanation for why there’s injuries to the left side of John O’Keefe’s face, stating: “that swelling kind of migrates over time to both sides, that is a common occurrence.” Then in the next question, Nuttall is forced to concede that John O’Keefe did in fact have a left black eye, to which he finally concedes he did have injuries to the left side of his face and thus body. Why is a paramedic so resistant to simply just telling the truth? Congrats to Ethan Lund for making his College Baseball debut, and in a HUGE spot. Things weren't perfect for the 6'6 Freshman from Fishers, Indiana, but he flashed some really good stuff from the left side. This dude has great stuff, is super competitive, is already hitting in the 94 range, is 6'6, and has a big future! His coaches showed a lot of confidence in him by putting him in the position he is in today. Valuable experience! #GoPokes #OkState

As they manhandle him down the stairs his feet go from under him, & the cops have to hold him up between them, to prevent his falling, as his tieblade swings from side to side. At the bottom of the stairs he's booked, with a side order of humiliation.
