I’ve been called “the MAGA candidate to beat” by the KC Star, and “brutally effective” by the Kansas Reflector. They didn’t mean it as a compliment. But that’s what I will be: brutally effective in what we do for you. #ksleg #ksgov #TakeBackKansas

Copycat (1995) knows exactly how to start a thriller. That opening bathroom sequence builds the tension beautifully before delivering one brutally effective shock.

The opening of Casino Royale (2006) is brutally effective. Martin Campbell wanted Bond’s first kill to feel awkward and uncomfortable, so the fight avoids anything clean or heroic. It immediately tells you this Bond is earned, not polished.

The Jackal (1997) had everything a great ’90s thriller needed: big stars, Bruce Willis chillingly against type, a huge budget, and a strong premise. Yet even with brutally effective scenes like this one with Jack Black, it still missed its mark. Why? Maybe a simple title change?

Night of the Demon (Curse of the Demon) (1957) The film's curse concept is genuinely chilling; a simple yet brutally effective premise where a demon comes for you on a specific date unless passed on. You can see its DNA in later films like The Ring and It Follows—that same inescapable, ticking-clock dread.

Evening viewing recommendation? On the Criterion Channel, watch Martin Scorsese's CAPE FEAR (1991) in our Southern Gothic collection! ❤️‍🔥 Scorsese fuses his bravura stylistic command and personal themes of sin and guilt with the pulp-pleasure mechanics of genre filmmaking for this brutally effective thriller, a morally unsettling, grippingly virtuosic remake of the 1962 Robert Mitchum–Gregory Peck (also streaming on the Channel)!

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. copied the Iranian Shahed-136 drone and turned it into the “Lucas” because the original design is brutally effective for the price, $35,000 vs $2.5 million for a single Tomahawk missile. Iran nailed the basics: simple airframe, basic guidance, and a warhead that detonates on impact with a firing pin striking the primer, setting off massive explosives that shred targets. Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid was simple but brutally effective: win the ball back, launch quick attacks, move with precision, and when the moment arrived, find Cristiano Ronaldo to finish the job. Efficiency at its finest. What’s even crazier is that first goal 🤯 How many strikers today can pull off that turn and shot? Very few. That wasn’t just finishing — that was pure instinct and world-class quality.

On the toxic COVID injectables - let’s call it what it is: a crime scene. These jabs weren’t just unsafe or ineffective. They were brutally effective at doing exactly what they were designed to do. This isn’t a policy failure. It’s an ongoing crime. And no, the truth isn’t palatable - it’s horrifying. Stop asking for more data, more inquiries, more debate. That delays justice and protects the perpetrators. To the medical freedom doctors: the time for palatable half-truths is over. If you’ve found your voice, now is the time to use it, fully. History won’t remember caution. It will remember courage.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 One of Tehran's biggest strengths has been brutally simple: launch drones that cost tens of thousands of dollars and force the U.S to shoot them down with interceptors worth hundreds of thousands. That math has worked in Iran's favor. New AI-enabled gun systems like Bullfrog aim to restore the balance, swatting drones with bursts of machine-gun ammo. If testing holds up, limited deployments could begin as early as late 2026 or mid-2027. It wouldn't stop Iran from threatening Gulf countries with missiles, but it could strip away one of its most effective pressure tactics: forcing the U.S and its allies to bankrupt themselves defending against drones. Writers: Mhedi, Ian

Gary Brecka just cut through all the supplement noise on The Bossticks podcast with a brutally simple list. He says almost everyone should be on these three non-negotiables: - A fully methylated multivitamin (with active methylfolate + methylcobalamin) - A quality omega-3 with both EPA and DHA - Vitamin D3 with K2 He also reminded everyone: there’s no such thing as an essential carbohydrate — but there are essential amino acids and fatty acids. These basics cover the most common deficiencies without turning your life into a supplement obsession. I’ve been trying to simplify my own routine, and this kind of focused approach feels way more realistic and effective. What are the 2-3 supplements you refuse to skip?

After 4 days of kidnapping in Abbottabad, Dr. Warda has been found brutally murdered. A doctor abducted from inside her own hospital at DHQ Abbottabad, then killed while the police failed miserably to take any meaningful action for five whole days. No serious search. No timely investigation. No effective response. This is not just a crime, it is criminal negligence and a complete breakdown of the system meant to protect doctors and citizens alike. In response, YDA KPK has announced a province-wide strike for our fallen colleague, demanding justice, accountability, and safety for doctors. If doctors are not safe inside government hospitals, no one is safe.

Helen Andrews just exposed a brutally effective tactic in modern politics: Women have a powerful, evolutionarily wired instinct to care for the helpless — and “wokeness” weaponizes it by framing every issue as “protect the vulnerable” (portrayed as helpless babies). She explains: This caring impulse is glaringly Darwinian — women see weakness and want to nurture. But when political causes are sold as “care for the oppressed,” that instinct kicks in automatically, shutting down debate. “Minorities are babies.” That’s the deeper frame — and it works because the caring response overrides everything else. Andrews isn’t denying the instinct’s beauty — she’s warning how easily it’s hijacked. Brutal insight or uncomfortable truth? Men: Ever noticed how “protect the helpless” framing ends discussions? Women: Does the caring instinct explanation ring true — or feel like a stretch?

Joe Rogan reveals his personal cheat code for weight loss — and it’s brutally effective: “If you're trying to lose weight, one of the best ways to regulate your appetite is the carnivore diet. You literally can't overeat on it.” He breaks down why it works so well for him (from his interview with Kevin James): - Zero carbs = body flips into fat-burning ketosis, cravings drop naturally. - Pure protein + fat hits satiety fast — your body signals “enough” long before you overdo calories. - Add bread, pasta, mashed potatoes, ice cream? “I'm gonna keep going and get another 7,000 calories.” Kevin James notes his trainer (Dolce) says “carbs are fine” if they're the right ones — but Rogan doubles down: For pure fat loss, carnivore is the ultimate appetite-killer, no constant willpower battles required. No preaching, no dogma — just his honest experience after trying every diet imaginable. Have you ever gone full carnivore (or high-protein/low-carb) — and did it crush your cravings the way he describes?
