And @bryan_johnson yes I will eat a salad if you eat a grass-fed ribeye with me!

@bryan_johnson he didn't change his mind. His thread was about unheated seed oils, which are not harmful for health.

@bryan_johnson Respectfully disagree. Even unheated seed oils lead to accumulation of linoleic acid in the human body and subsequently oxidative stress susceptibility, oxylipins etc..

@bryan_johnson When can we have restaurants that have zero seed oils? There is roughly 0 in the entire US that don’t dump seed oils over absolutely everything they make.

Aldehydes are bad. Why eating liver is bad. Because retinol from eating beef liver is converted to retinaldehyde (also called retinal) in the body. This happens as part of the process of converting the retinol into retinoic acid, which is another active form of vitamin A. Retinol is first oxidized to retinaldehyde, and then retinaldehyde is further oxidized to retinoic acid.

@bryan_johnson I’d bet a large sum of money regular consumption of seed oil is a major cause of MAFLD/MASH and that combining with regular alcohol (even mild to moderate) is driving rapidly advancing liver disease.

@bryan_johnson Hundreds of thousands of years? We didn't even exist back then 😂😂😂

@bryan_johnson Fossil record begs to differ.

@bryan_johnson We'll we've been eating grains and dairy for the last 50k years... Don't 50k years count?

@paulsaladinomd @bryan_johnson @grok what is that doctrine of Christianity that believes the Earth is only 10K years old. Is it Lutheran?

The belief that Earth is about 6,000-10,000 years old is known as Young Earth Creationism, held by some fundamentalist Christians based on a literal reading of Genesis. It's not specifically Lutheran—mainstream Lutheran denominations often accept an old Earth and evolutionary science, though views vary among individuals.

@bryan_johnson @paulsaladinomd You say that steak should be consumed rare What is the risk of parasites in steak when the inside is not cooked Well done?

@bryan_johnson Very low for beef.

@bryan_johnson Thank you. Another vector you might be missing is absorbing cleaning chemicals from your towels after they’re washed.

@bryan_johnson Crazy these guys are the same age Paul looks significantly healthier

@bryan_johnson For what it's worth, I think his earlier defense of seed oils was based on studying seed oils that were raw. But I'm guessing that most of the seed oils that fat Americans consume are heated up, so the study was kind of pointless.

@bryan_johnson The vast majority of seed oils consumed by Americans are heated, yes.

@bryan_johnson What do you make of Plenty Super High Oleic Safflower Oil? At least 92 per cent oleic acid, <2% polyunsaturated, very heat stable & a smoke point of 266°C (511°F). Seems by far the best seed oil available and the best plant oil for occasional deep frying/ high heat cooking needs.

@bryan_johnson Why does Bryan always look like he’s either been crying or swimming in chlorine with his eyes open?

@bryan_johnson He didn’t change his mind. He was talking about unheated seed oils.

@bryan_johnson Honestly, both you and Bryan look great. I'm glad there's more than one way to reach optimal health

@bryan_johnson Bryan Johnson must become a study in how far a man will go, just to not come face to face with his own mortality.

@bryan_johnson Also maybe you should advise him to get in the sun. Just wandering if he is a vampire or not.

@bryan_johnson "Eating one McDonald's Fry is the equivalent of smoking a pack of cigarettes"

@bryan_johnson He's specifically talking about heated seed oils. You are deliberately ignoring the rest of what he is saying. This is ragebait

@bryan_johnson 25 cigarettes?! holy

@bryan_johnson King of bro science

K i gotta comment as a cook that worked in high end restaurants, Fry oil has stabilizers and anti-foaming agents, any restaurant, not just McD's most likely uses them because the fryer will boil over in the middle of service. That's a way bigger concern that the oil itself. Cooking potatoes in some Canola oil isn't going to kill you, beyond that, if you heat Olive oil past smoke point, same deal, carcinogens, and it's smoke point is a lot lower than canola/grapeseed/avocado oil. All of this is just not clear enough or nuanced enough.

@bryan_johnson Who cares? He’s an influencer who desperately needs people to react to him.

@bryan_johnson @BioLayne your favorite, paul

@bryan_johnson 💯

@bryan_johnson Seeds oil rhetoric is pure grift. Ooh look at this one niche thing, and not at the fact that mega corps are pushing ultra processed junk in every direction.

@bryan_johnson @grok Do large amounts of LDL cause atherosclerosis over a long time?

@bryan_johnson We can't eat anything

@bryan_johnson bryan is ghey

@bryan_johnson What is this moron talking about? No heart diseases in the late 1800s? No shit sherlock, there was no USG, ECG and all other medical procedures and people lived for around 45 years xD If they died from unknown reasons it was described as sudden death.

@bryan_johnson He looks like crap - just look at his face and his eyes.

@bryan_johnson Gov: It ain't broke so lets fix it!

@bryan_johnson @grok what's is considered heated oil. How accurate is his claim seed oils are bad

If we’re playing that game: even unprocessed meat leads to accumulation of heme iron, TMAO precursors, and advanced glycation/lipoxidation end-products in the body—each of which is linked in the literature to higher oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, and long-term cardiovascular risk. If unheated seed oils count as ‘biochemical landmines,’ then so does daily meat intake

@bryan_johnson “When heated” is what the natsayers have been missing

@bryan_johnson So why are you still making money off selling the liver kings abomination of supplements?
