Bryson DeChambeau is the first reigning major champion to play in India in the last 6 decades, as the International Series will set a new record crowd for a professional golf event in the country. Bryson said about the opportunity: “It’s going to be so much fun. But it’s more than just golf, it’s about creating relationships. What’s wonderful about the game of golf is that you can create and develop relationships and inspire new fans all around the globe. That’s a really great thing.” The DLF golf club offers a unique test, that has received mixed reviews from the players. But Bryson is relishing the challenge “I love it. I think it is going to be a great test of strategic golf. There’s some really interesting shots, I’m not going to be able to hit many drivers. I’ll definitely need to think my way around and I’m excited for that test.” It’s going to be a sell out crowd over the weekend, with more than 20,000 fans expected for the final two days. There is also over 500 already enrolled for a clinic with the US Open Champion tomorrow. These are incredible numbers for Indian golf, and the fans are really showing out. When asked about his game after several months off from competition, Bryson said it feels “rusty”, but he’s feeling “really confident” with how his practice has gone so far. He also made it clear he is here to win: “I wouldn’t show up otherwise.” He then went off to work on his wedge play as the last man standing on the floodlit driving range.

Jon Rahm was asked by James Corrigan about his situation with the DP World Tour: “There's no longer a standoff. We were able to reach an agreement. There was some concessions on both sides. I offered some; they extended an olive branch. Obviously we've reached an agreement. That will not be a stress anymore.” James then followed up with a question on whether Jon was relieved it was over: “I was never worried about that. There was some things I believed in that I wanted them to agree with me, and I knew it was a matter of time. I also understand they have their bylaws and their way to go about things and they have to follow certainly procedures, and things are never as easy or as fast as you would think they would be, or at least I would have liked, but I was never worried. “The Ryder Cup is still really, really far away, but I'm happy that hopefully I won't have to think about any worries or any predicaments come to Adare Manor then or hopefully ever. I want to support the DP World Tour. There's a lot of events I want to play. “My only concern right now, when it comes to those events in October, is the due date that we have. That's the only issue I have that would make me not be at the Spanish Open. Besides that, I think they can count on my participation.” Jon Rahm is now fully eligible for selection for Team Europe at the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in 2027, as long as he fulfils his event minimums on the DP World Tour. 🗣️ Immediate reaction from Jon Rahm Rodriguez after Legion XIII defended their Andalucia team title HENNI: I'm here with Legion XIII, who have successfully defended their title as team champions here. How does it feel, Jon, to get it done again in your home country? RAHM: "Feels really good. Obviously this type of golf course suits us. Ball striking is all of our strengths, and on a golf course like this one, it was exactly what was demanded of you. Clearly we did well. Obviously I had a fantastic week myself, and very happy for Tyrrell to have just become a father just over two weeks ago and having his little girl and being a proud girl dad. As good as he is, if someone is going to beat me, there's very few people I'll be happy for, and he's one of them. It was very well earned and happy that he on and help the team as well. As far as I'm concerned, couldn't ask for much more" HENNI: "Have you given any parenting advice to Tyrrell?" RAHM: "No, I'm only there if he needs me. He's got plenty of people that are parents. It was pretty funny, he asked for advice on car seat the day he was leaving the hospital, which is something I thought he'd figured out by then. But so far he hasn't, but I did tell him any time he can call me because I've been there. I've been there at midnight when you don't know what to do and you need somebody to call. He's got friends and family. I don't know if I'll be the first one on his list" #LIVGolfAndalucia

He was using drugs between holes at Augusta National. Contemplating suicide for two decades. Couldn't walk into rehab without help. Today he just beat two of the best golfers alive. One of, if not the greatest sports comeback stories of all time: Anthony Kim. Father. Husband. Three-time PGA Tour winner before age 25 - alongside only Tiger, Phil, Sergio, and Adam Scott. Then his Achilles ruptured in 2012. He vanished, for twelve years. He was battling drug and alcohol addiction daily. Using during majors. Making bathroom stops between holes just to get through the round. Contemplating ending his life for almost two decades while the world thought he was living the dream. His body eventually shut down. He could barely walk into rehab. His wife Emily and daughter Bella pulled him back. He got a second chance with LIV Golf in 2024. Finished dead last. Didn't earn a single point in two full seasons. Got relegated from the league in August. Most people would've quit. He showed up every single day and worked to get 1% better after being cut from the league. He earned his spot back through a qualifying tournament on pure merit. Today, in the final round at LIV Adelaide, playing alongside Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm - two of the biggest names in golf - he came back from a 5-shot starting deficit and has just shot nine under to win the golf tournamnet. This man was ready to leave this earth. Now he just did the unthinkable. If that doesn't prove you can come back from anything, nothing will. It's never too late. Jon Rahm shot a 3 under par 67 to take a share of the lead at the PGA Championship. After the round, he praised the PGA of America for the set up of Aronimink this week: “I would like to know who came up with that, by the way. Honestly, when I heard people talking about 20-under par, it made me question my ability to read a golf course, because I was looking at the greens and where they could put pin locations and possible wind, I just -- my mind was never -- I actually got worried. I'm like if somebody shoots 20-under, the amount of records they're going to break this week would be unheard of. “You know why I think that can happen is also the fairways up here by the numbers are probably wide. They don't play as wide as they really are. Holes like 7, 10, 15, with how much slope you have to the fairway, you have to hit a very accurate golf shot to be in it. Like that, you can add too 2, 4 -- maybe not on 6, but like I said, 10, 12, 15, 16, right? “You need to hit -- with the slope of the fairway and the wind going with the slope of the fairway, it plays a lot more difficult than I think a lot of people would have foreseen at first with how much they're rolling out. And credit to the PGA for the setup. They found some incredible hard pin locations out there. Usually when we're practicing, we put our disks out, and there's definitely quite a few that I would have told Adam, man, there's no way they're going to put a pin there, and they did. So we found a way to keep it all close together. “As hard as it is to play, the challenge can also be kind of fun if you do well. That's probably the reason why the leaderboard is so bunched up and it's going to be such a good Sunday tomorrow. So in that sense, showmanship-wise, they've done a great job.” Jon was also asked if a win for him this week would be a boost for LIV Golf as they look for investment outside of the PIF: “Honestly, in a week like this, one, I'm thinking more about myself. I'm not going to take on anything outside what I can control when it comes to competing tomorrow. “If I do get it done and I sit here again tomorrow, then you can ask me the same question, and I'll give you an answer. But what it would mean for Spain as well in the grand slam tally and being the last leg of the grand slam for us as well, there's a lot of things that would mean a lot, but too much of it is out of my control. “So hopefully I can keep doing what I've done so far this week, especially today, and I get the chance to answer that tomorrow.” If Jon were to win tomorrow it would put him 3 legs towards the Career Grand Slam, complete the Grand Slam for Spain, and end the drought of major winners for LIV Golf that extends back to Bryson DeChambeau’s US Open win in 2024. It’s a massive final round ahead for the Spaniard. Jon Rahm Rodriguez PGA Championship

Anthony Kim will play with Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm tomorrow in the final group at LIV Golf Adelaide. They spoke about AK’s story: Bryson: “What an incredible story, first off. Going from the lowest of lows, almost moving away from this earth and then coming back and really taking accountability and raising his little girl and being a family man and being 1 percent better every day. It's an inspiring story that I think honestly should have a lot more media attention than it does. It deserves that. “It shows some of the opportunities that LIV Golf can provide and give hope to people. It's another opportunity to play. I think that's what's so brilliant about it is you've got a guy like that that's struggled pretty much his entire career, and this is really when he has become more of himself than any other time, more of a family man, a father, a great person that cares deeply about playing good golf now. That's all he cares about, and he loves it. I think that's really inspiring for anybody at any age, that you can pick it up and be a better person. “My hats off to him for doing everything he's doing, working as hard as he has to get back. He's an incredible talent, obviously; we know that. He's starting to show it, and for him to be in the final group will be fun. I actually haven't played with him yet, so it'll be fun to see how he golfs his ball.” Jon: “I was able to enjoy a car ride back to the hotel from the golf course in Riyadh, which somehow there's traffic at midnight there, so it was quite a bit over an hour, and he shared quite a bit of his story with me. What he's doing is nothing short of remarkable. “I really hope he can find the right person to tell his story, however form, movie, documentary series, book, whatever it is, because what he's doing is so impressive. Where he was at in life to where he's at now -- I've been able to play with him. I played in Singapore in his first season with him early on. Both of us played with him here last year in the first round, and I played with him yesterday, and the progression, the jump from those two times to yesterday, it's impressive. “The round he played yesterday on not the easiest golf course was incredible. Didn't really miss a shot. Shot 5-under and should have been lower because he did not make many putts. It was a flawless round of golf. It's impressive. It's impressive. “To see him now being part of a team after earning his spot back in the league, making a 15-footer on the second day to get into the final qualifying day, he's been proving it. “After everything he's gone through, if there's somebody that's not going to be scared to be out here and have to make the putts, it's somebody him like. I wouldn't be surprised if at this point this season he's somebody who's hoisting the trophy at the end of the week.” Hopefully AK can put on a show tomorrow and contend with them 👊

The PGA Championship is often accused of lacking identity but it always has one of the strongest fields in golf with the majority of the top 100 players in the world playing. It’s also had an incredible list of winners over the last 10 years that back up that theory: 2025: Scottie Scheffler beat Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley 2024: Xander Schauffele beat Bryson DeChambeau 2023: Brooks Koepka beat Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland 2022: Justin Thomas beat Will Zalatoris 2021: Phil Mickelson beat Brooks Koepka 2020: Collin Morikawa beat Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey 2019: Brooks Koepka beat Dustin Johnson 2018: Brooks Koepka beat Tiger Woods 2017: Justin Thomas beat Patrick Reed, Louis Oosthuizen and Francesco Molinari Justin Rose has played in 24 PGA Championships and ahead of this week’s playing at Aronimink, he spoke about what makes this particular major unique: “The PGA Championship, I would say what makes it unique is the strength of the field. The amount of players that are in the top 100 in the world is the most out of all the four majors. I think that it's played on classic tests of golf that are set up to challenge us, but also allow us to play golf. “Whether it's 8-under par, 10-under par, 16-under par, doesn't really matter too much. It's about just a good test of golf on a strong golf course. So from that point of view I think it has its character. And, yeah, listen, it's one of the four majors, and if you want to achieve amazing things in this game you have to lift all four majors. So for everybody here, it's a huge goal.” Whatever your thoughts on the PGA Championship, one thing is for the sure, it consistently delivers some electric leaderboards down the stretch on Sundays. As golf fans, isn’t that all we really want? PGA Championship Justin ROSE
