THE MOST IMPORTANT Q&A OF MEDIA DAY. Mariana: You came from a very solid weekend on top of everything, but at the same time, it seems that you don't feel that the team is listening to you. Am I right? And how do you balance that? Lewis: I feel like we're going in the right direction. Rome wasn't built in one day, so it takes time to build. For me, coming into the team, I wanted to be respectful of the way they've done things in the past and just to really observe and see where our strengths and where our weaknesses are and to highlight where our weaknesses are and areas that we need to work on. But I do feel that they've been responding. I think you're starting to see, hopefully, some of the impact of the work that we're doing in the background and also into next year's car. This is a car that I've had nothing to do with in terms of developing this car over the years. Hopefully, from next year, my input goes into that car, and that will be a car that I've hopefully been a part of or will have been a part of developing. But I think we've got a really great rapport. I think we're really progressing, particularly since the summer break. I think things have started to get better, and it's all just about building trust and communication. Also, I'm coming into a team that English is not the first language, and I don't speak Italian, so it's finding a common ground. And the fact is we all want to win. We're all here to achieve the same thing, and we've got to just keep pushing. So that's why I'm trying to keep everyone motivated on difficult weekends, trying to keep everyone lifted up. But there have been many, many things we've changed this year that I suggested that they hadn't done in the past, and so they have been listening. It doesn't change straight away, just like that. It takes time to build. And as engineers, they really need proof. They need numbers. That's what they work on. So you have to sometimes push to get certain changes to be made, and then when you change it and then it works, you're like, okay. Mariana: That's what I was talking about.. Lewis: Yeah! - F1 2025 Mexico -

'I'm sure there'll be some tears at some point, and I think that's really healthy.' ❤️ Sir Lewis Hamilton being incredibly open today when speaking on his season so far and the upcoming summer break: "This has definitely been... I mean, the last God knows how many seasons have been hard in their own way. This one's definitely been the most intense one, I would say. Just from a work perspective, integrating into a new culture, into a new team. It's not gone smoothly in all areas, and it's been a real battle." "Yeah, my spirit, I definitely need to get away and recharge, be around the kids, laugh, let go. I'm sure there'll be some tears at some point, and I think that's really healthy." "But I'm always excited to race. I love what I do. I love being in Red. I love working with this team. I have such belief in this team. It's really hard to explain, but I already had it a lot when I was in my previous team. Over time, you really build that camaraderie, and I see the passion in this team, and I love it. All I want to do is contribute the best that I can. Of course, I need to do most of that, mostly on track, and I'm not always hitting that. But also in the background, I see there's things that we can always improve, and there's things that I can improve on." "I'm just really excited for this break. I think for everybody, particularly the guys at the factory, I think they'll definitely enjoy this time with their family, and then we'll come back extra energized for the second half." - F1 2025 Hungary -

Jon Rahm on the LIV format: “Yeah, obviously there’s been a bit of a change. There was a lot more about LIV Golf that was attractive to me, right. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part. So it shouldn’t be an environment I’m unfamiliar with.” This is from the LIV podcast called “Fairway to Heaven”. Full link:
