We're open-sourcing Asimov v1, a humanoid robot. With Asimov v1, you can build, train on, and make it your own humanoid robot. It's the first step of building a humanoid labor force for the rest of us. Asimov v1 is 1.2 m tall, 35 kg, with 25 actuated degrees of freedom. Structural parts machined in 7075 aluminium and 3D-printed in MJF PA12 nylon. We're releasing the mechanical design and simulation files. Ready for locomotion policy training out of the box. The coolest part of Microduck might not be the robot. It's how it learns to move. This repo shows the full reinforcement learning pipeline behind Microduck. The robot learns in simulation using MuJoCo, PPO and GPU-based training, then the trained policy is exported to ONNX and deployed on the real robot. But the real challenge is sim-to-real. The simulation models things like actuator behavior, battery voltage, command delays, friction and even gear backlash. That helps make the learned policy work when it moves from simulation to the physical robot. The repo includes policies for walking, fall recovery, sitting, standing, kicking, ground picking and even roller skating. Train in simulation. Test the behavior. Export the policy. Run it on a real robot.

Open-source dexterous hands with fingertip sensors! 🪬 ORCA Dexterity just released three dexterous hand models. Their mission: is to democratize robotic hand dexterity. They're sharing progress on exceptional, low-cost hardware and a software layer from low-level control to robotic hand learning. This is the open-source approach to dexterous manipulation. Yesterday, I passed by a subway entrance in Guangzhou and experienced a retail kiosk operated by a humanoid robot again, buying a bottle of water. The process was the same: select items on a screen, scan a QR code for mobile payment, and the humanoid robot retrieves the product. (However, it didn't interact with me at all.) I looked it up, and the wheeled humanoid robot is named S1, from AutoLife Robotics in Shenzhen. It uses omnidirectional wheels for movement and a lifting body. It's 1-1.6m tall, weighs 72kg, and has a 10-hour battery life. A single arm can carry 3-5kg. Furthermore, this humanoid robot is suitable for lightweight tasks in retail, convenience stores, supermarkets, and warehouse sorting.

I placed 🥈 2nd in the LeHome Challenge (at IEEE ICRA 2026) earlier this month, and before that I was 🥇 1st of 62 teams in the simulation round. Now I am sharing my solution — with a detailed logic walkthrough and open-source code. The task was to teach a cheap two-armed robot to fold different garments in simulation and on a real robot. I trained a VLA policy with an RL loop to make it work. Let's break it down 👇
