Meet Tesh Mbaabu, founder of Cloud9 and part of Alliance’s ALL18 cohort. He grew up in Ngong, Kenya, in a family of entrepreneurs. Both his grandfathers ran businesses and his mother ran her own law firm. He went on to build, scale, and sell a travel startup. Now he’s building a digital bank. 10+ years of building. Still all in.

You cannot bury a problem and hope it goes away. As a leader, your duty is to SOLVE the problem. And as Prime Minister, Andrew Tate will SOLVE it. No more rape, no more illegal migration, no more abuse of government funding. Vote Tate before it's too late 🇬🇧

Naval Ravikant on the importance of hiring high-agency people Naval defines agency as: “People who just solve problems without even being asked to solve the problem—they identify the problem, they go solve it, they don’t even necessarily have to update you every step of the way, they’re not asking silly questions, and they’re just coming up with solutions.” He believes this is important because “building a startup is an infinite set of problems that are being thrown at you.” And there comes a day where you can’t even look at every problem your company is facing—let alone solve every one of them. He cites the Vinod Khosla aphorism: "The team you build is the company you build, not the plan you make.” And your ability to solve problems is based entirely on how many problem-solvers you have at your company. As Naval puts it: “If you have somebody who takes 10% of your time and management to solve problems, you can only have 10 of those people working with you. But if somebody takes 5%, you can have 20 of those people.” When building Airchat and AngelList, he thought of each team as a Navy Seal team: “Everyone is just really good at what they do. They know their job. They do it. They don’t complain. They’re not egotistical about it. And if they have to constantly be corrected, led around by the nose, you have to clean up after them, or you question their judgement, it’s not going to work out.”

Opus 5.5 sculpted every part of this ship in code, including the dragon, sails, and architecture. I can't say it has bad taste anymore. But it still needs steering, so I tried a new way of prompting. Live site: I asked Opus to score every part of the scene: the ship, water, landscapes, buildings, and their individual parts. Then I asked it to keep improving each part until it scored at least 8 out of 10, depending on my token and time budget. The key is to let it work as long as possible. The longer it works, the better it gets, until it reaches a point where I need to course correct. For me, Opus 5.5 reaches a level of detail and realism that no other model does.

Ocean plastic pollution is a symptom of a larger systemic problem. As it is not a one-dimensional problem, we are working to solve it from different angles.

Palantir CEO says silicon valley is the reason America is losing. here’s the TLDR: >silicon valley owes america a debt. it spent 20 years building photo apps when it should have been building weapons. >the next era of deterrence runs on AI, not nukes. our adversaries are not waiting for us to figure it out. now the question is who builds it first and what they build it for.

Have you tried customizing your video overviews? We uploaded a doc with a simple algebraic equation and guided it with this prompt: “Help me solve this puzzle. Walk through the thinking process and how you determine the values of each shape. Make sure to show the images of the shapes as you talk about them. Keep it super easy to understand for someone who isn't strong in algebra.” Check out how effectively NotebookLM is able to explain and solve the problem. We're SO excited for what this means for learning use cases (and hope you are too). Try it out and let us know what you think!

Asmongold explains why you should never try to build your streaming brand on Twitch "Twitch is aggregated by viewer count. If you only have 100 viewers, you're probably going to stay there, but if you get a lot of viewers, you go up. So it's a snowball, when you win you keep winning, and when you're losing you lose even more. That's the bad thing about the website, and I don't know how Twitch can solve it, but it is a problem." "Streaming on there is also basically gambling. It's so random, you wake up wondering if today's going to be good, and especially for smaller creators with no other income, it's literally I hope somebody donates $50 today. It's a crazy reward structure and people get really attached to it." "So my best advice for anybody is do not try to build a brand on Twitch. Build it on TikTok, build it on YouTube, build it basically anywhere else but Twitch."

India cannot build its future on jugaad. Jugaad may solve a problem in the moment, but it rarely creates something that can be scaled, repeated or institutionalised. Frugal innovation is different. It is disciplined. It comes from sharp thinking, deep consumer understanding and a culture where people are encouraged to keep asking, “What can we do differently?” At Marico Limited, our biggest growth moments came when innovation worked. Many experiments failed too, and that is part of the process. The real challenge for any organisation is to remove the fear of failure, because innovation cannot thrive when people are afraid to take risks. There is no shortcut to building the future. You have to keep experimenting, keep learning, and keep staying two steps ahead. CNBC-TV18 Shereen Bhan #india #leadership #entrepreneurship #innovation
