Build. Learn. Repeat. Small modular reactors are designed to learn from each deployment, improving manufacturing, increasing quality, and building more efficiently over time. Our latest video with Amazon looks at how repeatability could help meet growing demand for clean, reliable energy. Read more from Amazon:

@amazon That iterative build approach actually makes sense for SMRs long term

@amazon Build. Learn. Repeat. That's the whole case for SMRs. Each unit cheaper and faster than the last. I've been saying it: 12 reactors by early 2030s is power, not a study.

@amazon What do you do when you have to recall a reactor? If you’re gonna use a manufacturing model, then you have to deal with the reality of recalls. What are you gonna do ship hot fuel reactors back to the factory? You’re insane.

@amazon The real test is whether repeatability can compress construction timelines and financing costs. For energy-intensive industry, standardized reactors only matter if they can be deployed faster than demand for power is growing.

@amazon Not so small. The iterative design risks each unit being unique and a reactor chamber is not easy to upgrade. It also locks into more dangerous fuel rather than things like thorium (+no nukes).

@amazon turning reactors into a manufacturing problem instead of a megaproject problem is interesting
