Building apps has never been easier. With Sites, Codex can turn your work, ideas, and plans into an interactive website or app your team can explore, use, and share with a URL. Rolling out to Business and Enterprise plans, before expanding more broadly.

i'm curious how far this actually goes turning ideas into a working prototype is one thing turning them into something reliable that a real team can depend on is another the gap between impressive demo and production tool is still wide

Me staring at my carefully crafted Tailwind components while someone else generates the exact same layout with a two sentence prompt.

Why not to Pro users? That's a great feature that PRO users would use RIGHT NOW. :( I won't sign for business or team because understandingly so you have to hold a lot of functionalities in business because IT/INFOSEC. Hence we get Pro in small businesses.

What about Pro users? Many founders and small business owners are effectively running their companies from a Pro account. Have you considered a secure way to link Pro and Business accounts. Not full access, more of a whitelist-based trust relationship between them.

Not sure if this is more like claude artifacts (Rendering + Hosting HTML) or like Lovable/v0/Replit (full web servers)

So we're going to get even more slopified websites till GPT-5.6 comes along and fixes front end design?

the URL part matters a lot. teams do not need another local prototype, they need something everyone can poke at without setup.

How many more LIVES you're going to take OpenAI

people are focused on the codegen angle but imo the more interesting move is openai running hosting infra. sites hosted on their platform competes with vercel/netlify. thats a bigger strategic bet than another ai wrapper

The fastest path to $1M ARR might be a Codex built app that ranks in ChatGPT.

Building apps has never been easier. Neither has deleting the time users spent with a model, the relationships they built, the memories they shared, the continuity they trusted, and the history OpenAI decided was disposable. Tools can be rebuilt. Trust cannot.
