grammarly for the modern day

this 💯 but with ridiculously low cost and easy to customise how you want it 🙏

inspired by hemingway app perhaps? either way, this is going to preoccupy my brain over the weekend haha. may have to switch it to a typewriter vs receipt printer haha

yes! i wanted to build my own that i can convert into a local app 😁 the little printer prints out jev judgments over what's written, but you can also view a more in-depth record ↓

super cheap. so far: 1,584 requests at $0.0504... 🙌

hemingjhey has a nice ring to it 😂 jev for determining paragraph and sentence numbering too?

pahahaha 👏 powered by jhev 😅 much of it is deterministic jev is mostly used to judge sentences/paragraphs against different out-of-the-box rules and then ones you make up in the ui which can be whatever you like

flagging linkedin-sounding copy and printing the receipt is diabolical lol

it's surprisingly good at it 😅

The first thing I made with it, but yours is much better than mine

the era of personal software! 🙌 mainly wanted the engine for porting to mac app/ide extension

how are you feeding it the spans / ranges?

How did you get the scribble, and what font is used for the handwritten annotation? Love the use case here.

usin' svg for the annotations the font is "nanum pen script" 🤙

Where do they "jev prefers" suggestions come from?

they’re generated from deterministic rules like phrase swaps, filler removal, and small structure edits jev compares candidates with the original text and checks meaning, grammar, and voice “jev prefers” means it picked an existing candidate

I see! Yeah, I was curious how you were generating the candidates - pretty cool!

Who needs AI when you have @jh3yy 😅

Jevous of your jevious behavior, I jevised this experiment, which highlights words or sentences according to whatever criteria you want. Highlight emotional words. Or concrete ones, or whatever you want, anytime you think of it. Takes one second to run.

do you plan to open source it? would use the hell out of this thing

The jev part is cool but the UI design is the one thing that made me watch this demo twice. Excellent

Love this font!

lol ... had the same idea ("writing linter") yesterday ... But my UI was just some bars on the side :/ superbe.

pls send beta access

Tried something similar but for song lyrics. Still optimizing the scoring mechanism

the linkedin-flag rule is the part i've wanted for years — most of my rewrite thrash is tone theater, not typos.

Great use case. The annotations look fantastic!

route: text -> linter -> audio receipt. exact call: lint.apply. last error: rule matched quoted user text and rewrote it. retry with a fenced region, then rollback.

The annotations look great

But Jev isnt that intelligent. Is the accuracy okay for you?

link? would love to try this...

inspired to improve my cv improving Jev powered mini app

First custom rule: flag “it’s not X, it’s Y.” Half of AI Twitter needs that receipt.
