Bumble bees vs Honey bees ?! 🐝

We’re so lucky that bringing over a non native bee didn’t start some kind of bee civil war that ended up wiping out the whole pollinating bee population

there used to be an american honeybee, Apis neartica, but it went extinct around 10,000 years ago, if memory serves.

I thought Bumble Bees didn't have stingers at all

Team bumble bees!

:) I learned a thing. Cool.

And bumble bees are so clumsy

Bees are super cute. I love bees

Bumble Bee's can also nest in more esoteric areas too like underground or under boxes similar to Wasp like behavior. I actually found one under an old piece of cardboard lying on the ground after I was moving things around tryin to mow. Got a stingy kiss on the lips for it too.
