The NFU estimates up to half of all working farms, possibly more, could be impacted by Labour’s decision to put generations of farming at risk and threaten our food security. I hope this letter will encourage the Government to think again.

Trump: I will not be abandoning the farmers. We are strong on the borders and for the farmers and others in the hotel industry. We have similar situations and Kristi and I will be working with the states and we will work something where the farmers and be responsible. They have had people around for 10 or 15 years and they know them well, we will put them responsible, and issue a form of card or documents and the farmer will be responsible for these people. They will not have citizenship but they will be working and paying taxes. We need to get our farmers the people they need or else the farmers will not be able to do their land.
