Great to see you putting land managers at the heart of the debate. Difficult to have “the debate” when there is limited clarity about what the challenges are. One thing is clear - food security is interconnected with far wider challenges of climate change, land use & society.

Unfortunately farmers voices are always drowned out by agri-lobby groups. Farmers want a fair lively hood. Nature restoration & good health food production can go hand in hand with farming.

By 2035, the British countryside will be unrecognisable. 🇬🇧 Labour’s framework is about control. They want to tell farmers how to farm, it’s our food security that will suffer. We should be cutting regulation to support profitable farming; not making life even more difficult.

Alaska imports 95% of its food, but we don’t have to. Creating a dedicated Department of Agriculture will give our farmers the support they need to grow more food right here at home. If you want stronger farmers markets, more #alaskagrown products, and real food security, tell your legislators to support the Executive Order. #supportlocalfarmers #alaskagrown #FoodIndependence

Today I handed in a letter to No10 signed by over 100 MPs, industry bodies and farming experts opposing Labour’s Family Farm Tax. The NFU estimates up to half of all working farms, possibly more, could be impacted by Labour’s decision to put generations of farming at risk and threaten our food security. I hope this letter will encourage the Government to think again.

By 2028, the average hill farm income will only be 55% of the national minimum wage. And now the Government is forcing those farmers to pay a huge inheritance tax bill. This is a disaster for our environment and our nation's food security. I'll keep fighting for our farmers.

England is now the only country in Europe not using farm payments to support food production thanks to Brexit and Michael Gove. Farron asked for a U-turn. Reeves’s reply? A vague 5p fuel duty cut and talk of the Strait of Hormuz. No real support for British farmers or food security. The Atlanticist priorities continue while the food shortages loom.

This hospital would not allow a woman's two support system people to be in the labor and delivery room with the pregnant mother-to-be. The hospital staff claims it was the doctor's decision, and they are not getting any other answers. What could be the reason for this, and does the doctor and hospital have that right? I've never heard of this happening, but I guess it does. Doesn’t seem right to me.

Thanks to the government, we will now no longer be able to have farmland scenes like this one, after it’s been announced they are scrapping SFI. An initiative that farmers and the government have been working on together to create wonderful and ecologically friendly conditions for all sorts of wildlife above and below ground. Such a shame. No Farmers, No Food #farmer #farm #farming

As always, I continue to support British farmers, and this Christmas my plate will be filled with British turkey and vegetables, produced by the very family farms worth protecting. 🚜🇬🇧
