We discussed the work in Europe to develop anti-ballistic defense capabilities, as well as the preparation of an agreement in the Drone Deal format. The teams are working, and the main thing is that there be more protection in Europe. Special attention was given to our needs in strengthening air defense, security challenges in the region, and diplomatic work to achieve a dignified peace. I informed the Prime Minister about our contacts with Europeans and Americans. I am grateful to the Government, the people, and all of Finland for supporting Ukraine – above all, for all the military packages and contributions to the PURL initiative. Importantly, Finland is ready to continue helping.

It is important to increase both the contributions and the number of countries participating in it. We also discussed the threats stemming from the escalation of Russian aggression. Violations of NATO member states’ airspace are not mistakes but deliberate actions by Russia. I informed them about contacts at the leaders’ level in the E3–Ukraine format as well as our contacts with the American side. Right now, all our partners note that Ukraine’s positions on the frontline are significantly stronger, and therefore the approaches in diplomacy, which we are now working to reinvigorate, must be based precisely on this. Unfortunately, Russia is trying to compensate for its enormous losses on the battlefield with strikes on our cities and communities, on civilian infrastructure. That is why air defense missiles are our top priority. And we discussed how to secure additional supplies for Ukraine right now, as well as efforts to develop a European anti-ballistic missile system. I am grateful to Alex and Jonas, and to the people of Finland and Norway, for their steadfast assistance and support. We appreciate that our agreements are being implemented.
