Crucial tips particularly for large CAD assembly files. I knew about the SELECTOR option to select and delete materials but not in the object mgr. Good one Noseman!

Just select your two shapes in Illustrator, no matter what they are, and from the Object menu, choose Interwine and then Make. When the mouse pointer changes to the Lasso tool, draw a line around the area you want.
